For your information and your planning, I intend to pause the EGL (so much for "ever-green", I know...) over the summer, closing down in June and opening up again in August.

In case someone volunteers to run the league during this period, I'm happy to provide the Excel spreadsheet and introduce that person to it.

No Probs Andreas. It may well coincide with the next DL season, which sort of halted EGL anyways.

BTW to all players who may be interested there is another Slitherine tournament, beginning, Rome throughout it's history format.

Unfortunately for the Vikings the Germans have prevailed. Neither side fancied the terrain and it hinged on who felt brave enough to enter the valley. Soon the valley turned into Valhalla for the Vikings thanks to the German lancers and infantry combining. Although one German flank collapsed.....final score

So now that all games but one (my own...) are concluded, I'm taking the opportunity to lock the EGL 900 AD for the summer. Many thanks to everyone who participated! I'll be thinking about ways to make the EGL self-organised, through simpler rules and a simple spreadsheet. To be continued.

If/when we open up again after summer, score system will be changed and simplified as follows for the EGL:

win yields the number of points equal to the number of places behind the loser (and if not behind, always 1 point). draw and loss yield 0 point. (Players' current points to be recalibrated to fit new system.)
