Just realised we haven't started the game below, so I created a challenge for it:

4a. Conquest: Babylonian attack on Elamite Awan (47) from Nippur (12). 1600 FP. Babylonian: TomoeGozen, Elamite: deeter.

Deeter (Elamites) defeats TomoeGozen 41-12

The decadent Babylonians sought to eliminate the Elamites, but didn't recon with their formable light chariot force, falling under a hail of arrows. Superior light chariots with bows are nice to have.

2. Conquest: Median attack upon Persian Pasargarda (50) from Artacana (15). 1600 FP. Median: rbodleyscott, Persian: SnuggleBunnies.

SnuggleBunnies (Persian) repulses rbodleyscott (Median) 51-23

...ahem. Well, for a more detailed description pewpewpewpewpewpewpewpew.

Okay but actually. The Persian army is great for defending, as it can mow down protected infantry and really any cavalry with ease. I don't really see what Richard could have done differently; *maybe* he could have not bothered with cavalry and went all in on infantry spam, but given the terrain, which offered me easily secured flanks, I think this battle was decided before it began.

5b. Raid: Scythian attack on Lydian Gordium (5) from homelands. 1600 FP. Scythian: kronenblatt, Lydian: deeter.

The Lydians repulsed a scurrilous raid by the scrofulous Skythians 40-14. It seems they were a little too anxious to close with the Lydians.

Round 2: attack declarations

Post by kronenblatt »

Order of attack declarations
  1. kronenblatt (Assyrian) (46): Aug. 31
  2. SnuggleBunnies (Egyptian) (43): Sep. 1
  3. deeter (Lydian) (40): Sep. 2
  4. rbodleyscott (Median) (23): Sep. 3
  5. TomoeGozen (Babylonian) (12): Sep. 4
  • Attack declarations are posted in this thread[/b].
  • You must always declare one conquest attack by your major power and are in addition free to (but don't have to) declare either one raid attack by a tribal power or one revolt attack by one minor power (revolt attacks not available yet since no major power controls any minor powers' provinces).
  • Please express attack declarations in the way the following examples show:
    • Conquest: Assyrian attack upon Babylonian Sippar (10) from Ninive (9).
    • Raid: Scythian attack upon Median Ecbatana (13) from homelands.
    • Raid: Scythian attack upon Median Ecbatana (13) from homelands, with middle-eastern agricultural terrain. (in case you want middle-eastern agricultural terrain and not pot luck, an option only available in raids.)
    • Revolt: Hebrew attack upon Egyptian Jerusalem (31).
  • Date (midnight CET+3 (Jerusalem) time) above indicates deadline, after which opportunity for you to declare attack is forfeited and the player next in line may declare his attack.
  • Once you have declared an attack, please PM the player next in line, who will then be free to declare his attack, up to his deadline, so we all don't need to wait for each player's deadline.
