Aetius39 (Carthaginians) defeats olddog52 (Byzantines) 55-13

Both armies marched toward a small river in the middle of the map, but the Carthaginians veered right and some of their cavalry managed to quickly rout one of the Byzantine's cavalry. The Carthaginian infantry pushed forward while the a few timely flanks helped seal the deal. Thanks for playing, and gg!^^

Aetius (Carthaginians) defeats Giacofa93 (Spanish) 53-26

The Carthaginians had a good break on a cavalry that routed and then flank attacked, setting off a bit of a chain. GG!

Aetius (Carthaginians) defeats Sawyerk (Jewish) 59-27

Tough match where the Jews lured the Carthaginians down and it was a slugfest; for a while it seemed the Carthaginians would break. Luckily for them, several units held out just enough for the Veteran spearmen to take out what they were fighting and turn to help. Still, it was tough and very close. GG and well played; it was not easy.^^

Hey guys.

Sorry to not get to this earlier, but I think I need to drop out of this tourney. I did not do the math quite correctly on what my match load was likely to look like at this point in time, and grabbing this, plus Chaos Wars, plus the DL, plus the WTC was lining up waaaaay too many matches for my free time to handle. My apologies Karvon. Best of luck to everyone!

Flockaveli (Dailami) defeats Aeneas Stator (Franks) 44-0

an unlucky triple drop on the Frankish vanguard enabled the more numerous Dailami to swarm the better-equipped Franks

GG and well played to Aeneas Stator

It's a draw, as no one routed the other army. The game says one side "held the field in victory" or something like that, but it's a draw for all intents and purposes.

Karvon. Arab (city) with Sassanid 477 allies defeated LindsayCole with Roman 285-312AD with Armenian 253-476AD 41-0 for a 6-0 win.

Our lancers supported by lights and camels, drove off or destroyed the Armenian horse archers and lights covering the Roman left, while our heavy foot shifted wide right to follow in their wake and avoid the Roman infantry. The victorious horse and lights encircled the Roman foot and finished off the last of their lights as well as flanking and fragmenting an exposed auxilia, leading to the Roman collapse.

Karvon. Arab (city) with Sassanid 477 allies drew with MarcoCato75. Arab (conquest) 638-684 57-47 for a score of 2-2.

Our city Arabs lancers supported by elephant surged out of a grove and caught the conquest lancers in the flank on our left while our spearmen huddled behind ditches awaiting the oncoming wave of veteran spear in the center. Both sides brought more troops up to support the cavalry battle on our left, but we managed to destroy most of them at the cost of quite a few of our own. We brought some more spear hidden in marshes near the farm to flank the conquest spear manhandling ours in the ditches and managed to trade a couple in the process. Our surviving spear marched past the engaged enemy spear and hurried to pursue the broken conquest troops. The conquest spear turned and gave chase to no avail. Our pursuers prevented any rallies. Night fell before fighting on left finished.
