Just a quick update.
I've been busy helping organize the TDC and I have uni finals and grades to deal with over the next few weeks, so the start is going to get pushed back till Feb.
I want to add a section to the rules explaining Cyberboard so all the docs are in one place, but otherwise I think things are pretty much ready to go.

Is this campaign still in the pipeline?

Yeah, I've been weighing whether to stick with the board game rules for the campaign mechanics or simplify it to something more in the flavor of the ones you've been running. The board game rules are naturally rather detailed and wondering if that might be too much for some.

I'm not a naval person but a naval game is novel enough that I'd be interested.

Something simpler may be better. But still retaining the specifics and the flavour of the Second Punic War, the Romans, and the Carthaginians: which aspects would that be? Rotating Roman command between players (representing consulship terms)? Carthaginian command retained with a player until losing a battle and then being replace (thus, representing sacrifice due to failure)? What else?Karvon wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 1:08 am Yeah, I've been weighing whether to stick with the board game rules for the campaign mechanics or simplify it to something more in the flavor of the ones you've been running. If you're interested, I've got the Imperium Romanum II board game map that potentially could be used.
