Division C
lunecastle (Phoenician 681-539 BC) beats ray552 (Babylonian 626-539BC) (Phoenician revolts 626-605 BC) 53-26
I see everyone is winning with the Phoenicians versus the Babylonians. IMHO,I think it would be a different story if it was the Babylonian army with Mede allies. Thanks for the game Ray552, good player, good bloke. I enjoyed our two meetings.
Best regards, Lunecastle

Re: Any questions?
Yes, I agree. For Season 13 when we have the next historical match-ups in Biblical I will use a Thracian civil war battle as one of the 5.Badger73 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 5:34 pm I must admit that Season Eleven's Awsan v Saba 700-600 BC with Arab 1000-313 BC vs Arab 1000-313 BC was more exciting than I expected. Many of these other biblical "nations" suffered insurrection, civil war, and battles for royal succession with very similar forces opposing each other. One or two match-ups of this sort per season would be interesting to play.

Re: Any questions?
Although i posted about the rather difficult Median army vs the Persians I think that sometimes the mis match is a real challenge and i certainly learnt a great deal from the match and would do things differently next time. I'm sure an experienced player would do better and have some cunning plans up his sleeve. So no criticism Pete - i enjoyed the battle and at least I won one!stockwellpete wrote: ↑Fri Jun 18, 2021 7:21 amYes, I agree. Like the idea of some "civil war" match ups that would be a true test of a player's skill.

Sgt0gre - Sassanid Persian 350-476 AD defeats olddog52 - Byzantine 579-599 AD 50-15
Started off strange with Byzantine lancers routing my Elephants, but in the end, the combination of the Cataphracts and infantry took revenge on the Byzantines. Closer fight than the score. Good game.
