Heavy chariots on both Cypriot wings managed to contain the Egyptian cavalry and the heavy spears and Phoenicians managed to rush the Egyptians archers before taking too many casualties. Some cypriot cavalry in the rear of the Egyptians put paid to the last central defence. Very exciting game.

A quiet start in Division A has seen first wins for Geffalrus (Antigonid), klayeckles (Ptolemaic) and Morbio (Samnite) to put them joint top of the table. There is greater clarity in Division B where Aetius39 (Lysimachid) has made a very good start with 3 straight wins to lead from oscarius (Spartan) who has 2 wins from 3 starts. snooky51 (Roman) is the early leader in Division C with 2 wins, while in Division D "whirlwind" joggy (Pyrrhic) has already finished! He has set a modest target of 25 points to beat after winning 6 of his 9 matches. wellsonian (Roman) is the frontrunner in Division E, which has been a bit disrupted in the first few weeks of the season after a couple of late withdrawals.
