Re: ericdoman1 has won Early Middle Ages Division A!
Thanks guys. As Pete put it I was lucky, although it would have been very interesting to see how El Cholo fared against y'all. I thought at one stage my CA game vs "I am the Geffalrus" would have been void:) Not to be though.

Pool B Semi-Final
Kroche (Anglo-Norman) defeats Zawzgrzyt (Norman) 61-47
Another close match possibly won by a Feudal Foot unit combating Norman Knights, while disrupted and a bit down slope, battled for maybe 10 turns before Anglo-Norman reinforcements arrived to sweep away the Norman right wing. Normans retained a strong centre, but lost both wings. Zawzgrzyt only needed a small change in fortune to be the winner. Well played and good game to Zawzgrzyt.
Kroche beats Zawgzrzyt 2-0 and goes through to the final.

Marvin_The_Arvn - German (Imperial) 1200-1319 AD defeated Blagrot - Mongol (Europe) 1223-1241 AD 53-25
Thanks for the game, was fun but it did drag on but in all fairness the Mongols didn't run and play for the draw, so kudos for the good sportsmanship, till next time!

Division A
SnuggleBunnies (Papal) draws with Constantin (Berber) 0-0
Having learned my lesson about fighting Berber armies in the open against harvey, I declined battle. It may not have been glorious, but at least we got to take a sunny walk along the beach!

Re: Suggestions for the Themed Event in Season 12 (October 2021)?
I like the above barbarian battles in Britain, along with the migrations TomoeGozen suggested. Perhaps a "barbarian migrations/invasions" theme?tyronec wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 8:25 pm How about Barbarian battles in Britain. Don't get many games with these armies fighting each other and no Romans involved.
Round 1 - AD 0. Ancient British/Caledonian/Gallic/Scots-Irish
Round 2- AD 500. Anglo-Saxon/Pictish/Romano-British
Round 3 - AD 600. Anglo-Saxon/Pictish/Scots/Scots-Irish/Viking
OR
Crusader battles from the latest release.
Depends on what you are going to do with the Medieval period but if you were just going to allow the additional armies that would give a very wide range of army lists, maybe more than is needed. So perhaps then not include the Crusader area armies in the HMA period.

I am not particularly in favour of this idea as the biblical armies are more or less worn out now. Alternate seasons do have historical match-ups in Biblical and I find it quite hard to get 5 interesting and balanced contests as it is. I think Biblical needs a rest really.

I'll just throw a completely new thematic idea into the hat - Civil War. So I could come up with half a dozen civil war match-ups from across the various time periods.
