This should probably read "If, however, your opponent has issued the challenge click on the 'Accept Challenge' tab at the top right to get the list of all available games, find the correct match and highlight it then press the 'Accept Challenge' button at the bottom".

I think we are coming to the end of the recruitment process now. There is still one place left in both Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages and hopefully they will go today. I have to say that I am not confident that we will have enough players to open 6th divisions in Biblical and High Middle Ages now as we only have one "provisional" sign-up in each so far. I will make a final decision on these 2 sections on Sunday.

I have been getting on with the formation of divisions in the various sections. That work is well-advanced and I am just waiting for the last few sign-ups so I can slot them into a division. Early Middle Ages has gone from 4 divisions to 6 this time and looks really, really stronger. Much stronger than Late Antiquity, for sure.

I have been asked about the deadline for nominating armies. I will need them all by last thing Monday evening, except for High Middle Ages, which I will give an extra 24 hours to, so players can have a bit longer to look at the armies in the new DLC.

I am fairly certain now that we have recruited everyone that we are going to, apart from the inevitable 2 or 3 who turn up just as the tournament is starting. I have temporarily reserved a couple of places for a new player called albatros, who I inadvertently left off the invitation list. We have been in contact by e-mail. He has got until lunchtime to put his name in the Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages threads, otherwise I will offer those places on the forum again.

There is another new player opoli51, who has registered already, and he sent me a PM saying that he did not know how to challenge opponents for multiplayer. There was a rapid exchange of PM's between us and then I provided a basic guide to MP, which you can all see now on the forum. But since then, there has been no contact and no indication that he has even seen the thread. I have checked to see whether he has ever entered one of the automated tournaments before and he is one of the players right at the bottom of the listings with a row of zeros after his name. So he entered, but did not get very far. So that makes me a bit nervous, to be honest. I have sent a PM and put a call out on the forum for him, but if he does not make contact by Monday morning, I will offer his places on the forum again.

I did say that I would wait until Sunday to see if we could get enough players for Biblical and High Middle Ages, but we are nowhere near doing that so I am going to settle for 5 divisions in each of those sections. I will put up the formation of divisions shortly.

Army selection deadline is end of Tuesday 28/9 . . .

Post by stockwellpete »

I shall need all your army choices by the end of Tuesday 28th September please, so that will give me 2 days to allocate them and sort out any issues. I have started the army checking process already.

Please remember that you must choose armies and allies from different nations to those you used in Season 11. So if you had a Gallic army and Samnite allies in Season 11 then you cannot use the Gallics and Samnites at all in Season 12, not even as allies.

Hi not sure the right Thread to post this but I have tested setting up a SilkRoad challenge and I need a volunteer to play me.

Open Challenge just to see if I have set it up OK and get some practice with the forces involved.

Pete if this is the wrong place please move to Dustbin or whereever you think best?

Army allocations for High Middle Ages now available!

Post by stockwellpete »

Here are the divisions for High Middle Ages. This was quite difficult to do as the return rate from Season 11 was not very high. I have had to "promote" quite a few players who finished mid-table last time. The "A" division is still quite strong, the "B" division looks absolutely fascinating and the "C" and "D" divisions look to be of a good standard too. And then we have lots of new players in the "E" division and hopefully some of them will be rising through our ranks over the next few seasons.

Division A
Cunningcairn (8th)
CyberHetman (promoted)
desertedfox (promoted)
ericdoman1 (3rd)
harveylh (2nd)

Hey, Ian... "I resemble that remark!"

As we have been drawn together in High Medieval Div C you will very quickly establish that my level of ability in no way resembles that of most of my opponents (and sadly not in a good way :D )

I have just completed the first army check for all the sections. Pretty good. Just a few corrections required. Even though your selections may have something like . . . Armies checked 25/9, OK. . . . underneath them, you may still edit your choices up until the Monday evening deadline. If you do edit, I will just do a second check.

I have not heard from albatros so I have opened up recruitment in Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages again so that we can fill the last place in each. I don't think albatros realised that he would have to buy the DLC's to enter.

Edit: I have had further contact from albatros and he hopes to join us for Season 13.
