sivispacem - Spanish (Sertorius) 80-70 BC defeats Hari72 - Macedonian 320-261 BC 59-28

Thanks to Hari72.

Division A
Questar17 - Bosporan 11 BC-375 AD with Roman 24 BC–196 AD allies beats Morbio - Roman 24 BC–196 AD with Arab 312 BC - 299 AD allies 44:5
the final score is too ridiculous because of too many double drops of Morbio + some rallies of my troops at the last turn
thx for the game

Pool B Group 2
Blagrot (Carthaginian 262-236 BC) beat Tratmot (Roman 280-220 BC) 62%-56%
21 Turns of slaugther this time, the game could have ended much earlier but both sides were intent on rallying and rejoining the fight. I sent my cav on a very long outflanking maneouvre around a mountain and after my warbands and elephants bounced thought I might lose before they even got there but as the dust settled the might of the rallied elephants and speed of the cavalry won the day for Carthage. Thanks for a brilliant pair of games.
(3-1)
Latest standings
1. Blagrot P2-6pts
2. Tratmot P2-2pts
3. iandavidsmith P0-0pts

devoncop ..Khorasanian 821-1003 AD with Ghaznavid 962-1187 AD allies drew with sivispacem Andalucian 756-1049AD allies 57-48.
Yet another draw for the Cavalry armies as the Khorasanians were just unable to break a heroic unit of Andalucian fractured massed archers in the last turn to snatch an undeserved win. A swirling contest taking place across the whole of an open battlefield that suited the Khorasanians swung both ways and a draw was a fair result without question.
Well played to a fine opponent.

devoncop - Indo-Skythian 95 BC-50 AD drew with Sawyer K Spartan 221-146 BC with Roman 280-220 BC allies by 36-42%
To no one's surprise at all another Cavalry army draw as initial gains by the Indo-Skythian horse on an open field of battle were pegged back by the skilfully deployed Spartans whose Phalanxes proved invulnerable and who caught enough of the Skythian horse to overtake the Skythian score leading to the Skythian General ordering a "white flag" strategy of running away from any actual fighting. Draw agreed two turns from the end of an entertaining contest.
Thanks to my fine opponent.

devoncop Mongol (Ilkhanid) 1230-1353 AD with Tatar 1242-1339 AD allies drew with Delbruck - Sicilian 1200-1266 AD with Italian (Ghibelline) 1200-1319 AD allies 3 to 6%
With the Sicilians committed to a beseline defence the Mongols swept forward in all their finery and much elan, met a wall of crossbows and spears...lost a few men and slunk back from whence they had come with their tails between their legs. By this time the Sicilians decided it was far too hot and sticky to tramp all the way across the map in the time left and a draw was agreed.
Zero points all round and that is being generous to the Mongols

olddog52 - Spartan 221-146 BC with Roman 280-220 BC allies (1600) victory over Real_JT1 - Achaemenid Persian 480-461 BC (1200/1600) 43-18
The Achaemenid Persian darkened the sky with their arrows as the Spartan/Roman army ran forward. Persian Cav attacked my right flank but failed to break thru. Once the battle lines meet it was only a matter of time.
Real_JT1 played the only cards he had to play. Thanks, Real_JT.
OOps, this is CA not Late Antiquity! My Bad.

A very tense match which went the way of the Carthaginians due to holding up the Pyrrhic phalanx charge long enough so their more numerous African Spear and Phoenican infantry could attack the flanks. GG
