Weekly round-up
Lots of completed matches in Division A this week and it is Nosy_Rat (Viking Ireland) who has emerged as the new champion in a section he dominated for so long before taking a break in Season 11 (he was champion in Seasons 6, 7, 8 and 10 and runner-up in Seasons 5 and 9). It was close though with tyronec (Dailami) currently 2 points back in second place, although XLegione (Andalusian) can take the runners-up position if he takes maximum points from his last match against Aetius39 (Arab Conquest). At the bottom, late reserve MorkinTheFree (Scots-Irish) needs just 1 point from his last match against Triarii (Arab North Africa) to avoid the drop and send mr cholo (German) down instead. Just the relegation issue still to sort out in Division B, where Challenge1 (Andalusian) needs just 3 points from his last 4 matches to move off the bottom of the table and see Nijis (Armenian) relegated. Another defeat for paulmcneil (Rus) leaves him firmly anchored at the bottom of Division C needing 6 points from his last 2 games to escape relegation. General Shapur (Anglo-Danish) will be relegated if he achieves this target. Division D has been disrupted a bit by the departure of Aeneas Stator (Scots) this week, but late reserve Rosedelio (Croatian) has been too strong for everyone else and has completed a clean sweep (35 points) to win automatic promotion, ahead of Kerait (Arab Conquest) who finished with 7 wins. It is Rosedelio's first season and he had successfully rattled through his matches in the F divisions by the half-way stage so I invited him to have a try at the next level. No problem at all, so I expect to see him in the B divisions next season. devoncop is relegated (Khorasanian) after registering just 1 win compared to Aeneas Stator's 2. Nothing to report from Division E, which is just about finished, but in Division F 2 more wins for shane30 (Arab Conquest) means he has won automatic promotion in his first season with 1 match still to be completed. Hari72 (Frankish) and frederic02 (North Indian) had very good campaigns to finish second and third respectively.

lydianed (Gepid) defeated IMC (Jewish Revolt) 41:10

The Jews set up a defensive position around a hill protected by woods in the reasonable belief that horses and trees don't mix well and stuffed the woods with zealots. The numerous Gepid light foot were able to probe, weaken and eventually create enough narrow openings to allow the lancers in behind the lines. Thanks to Ian for a good game.

Division D

Blagrot - Berber (Murabit) 1087-1147 AD beat Tratmot - Mongol (Europe) 1223-1241 AD 62% - 38%

A very tense game this one, it started well for the Berbers as archers and crossbows cut down much of the mongol force but the initial counter charge didn't kill enough to get victory and the cavalry that could actually catch the mongol horse were slowly worn-down or cut off. A series of scrappy skirmishes ended in turn 24 with the death of a last pair of mongol units. Thanks for another close game

In a very hard-fought division, Nosy_Rat and his Viking/Irish army has prevailed to regain the championship of this section. Well played Nosy_Rat.

Coming in as a late reserve, Rosedelio and his Croatian army have completed a clean sweep (35 points) to win automatic promotion from Early Middle Ages Division D. Well played Rosedelio.

Weekly round-up
Just mostly a matter of finishing things up in Biblical now where most issues have already been decided. Snugglebunnies and MorkinTheFree finished second and third respectively in Division A and Delbruck secured a double win against carpenkm in the relegation battle in Division C, where carpenkm now needs 2 points from his last 2 matches to avoid the drop and send IMC down. There is nothing to report from Division D and Divisions B and E finished a couple of weeks ago.

Weekly round-up
tyronec (Aragonese) is the new champion of High Midde Ages after posting a seventh victory from 8 starts in Division A this week against challenger CheAhn (Crusader). CheAhn will almost certainly finish second unless CyberHetman (Ghurid) takes 4 points from his last match against schmolywar (Berber Almohad), although if ianiow (Berber Murabit) gains maximum points from his last 2 matches he will also finish on 24 points. Then the minor positions will take a bit of working out. In Division B, all attention is now on the relegation battle where the bottom 3 players still have to complete their matches against each other. Morat (German) is still bottom, but has won his last 2 matches to give him a real possibility of avoiding the drop. paulmcneil (Armenian Cilician) and kraff (Ghurid) are the other 2 players involved, who both need a win from their last 2 matches as well to overtake Conteshard (Crusader), who has finished with 3 wins but only 11 points. It is exceedingly rare for a player with 3 wins to be relegated, but it could happen here. Division C is still wide open as we enter the last week of the season. edb1815 (Aragonese) is currently top and needs any sort of win against second-placed Marvin_The_Arvn (Castilian) to take the automatic promotion place. Marvin_the_Arvn's other match is against Kroche (German), who still has a mathematical chance of taking the top spot. In Division D, Tratmot (Mongol Europe) is relegated after suffering a seventh defeat. There is nothing to report from Division E this week.
