Re: Any questions?
I have this from The Players Guide from Rule 4 . . .tyronec wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 8:26 am Can you explain at all how the map type is chosen according to the two opposing armies ?
I think there is some sort of preference that each army will have for a particular map, is it possible to look up somewhere what that preference is. Have looked in the game folder and I don't see how I can look it up ?
Also, some armies seem to get their default terrain more often than others. So for example every game that I have seen with Jewish Revolt playing there has always been at least a moderate amount of terrain. Is that the case or is it just 50/50 as to which army gets their 'normal' type of terrain ?
"Note: "Pot Luck" terrain
Where the armies have different home map sets, the game will use the highest priority map set in the following list (highest to lowest): Tropical, Northern Europe, Mediterranean, Middle East, Steppe, Desert." The "Pot Luck" element determines whether the terrain is Agricultural, Hilly, Wooded or Mountainous."
More than this then you need to ask Richard in the main forum.

devoncop - Indo-Skythian 95 BC-50 AD drew with Garokan - Carthaginian (Hannibal in Africa) 202 BC .... scores 41-55%
Yet another cavalry army draw and very nearly a loss as cunning play by Garokan enabled him to bring his unstoppable phalanxes and elephants into play and very nearly snatch a win at the death. The early destruction of the Carthaginian cavalry by the Skythian light Cavalry was followed by the steamrollering of the Indo Skythian medium foot and massed archers by the superior Carthaginian scutarii and Thureophoroi in woods on the Skythian left setting the scene for a nailbiting finish.
Thanks to Garokan for a fine match.

Division A
Nijis (Granadines) defeats desertedfox (Germans) 49-18.
The Granadines launched a cavalry and camel charge into the German left, and overwhelmed it. They got very lucky at some very opportune times, allowing for a rout-pursuit-flank-rout cascade. High-quality German infantry pressed forward on their own right wing, grinding down the Moorish foot steadily but not sufficiently quickly.
