Tight game guys ?

It was, these close games are great nail biters. Oddly my rubbish units seem to have done the best - when it mattered.
Look back over the past, with its changing empires that rose and fell, and you can foresee the future, too. M.A.

Group 4 "Great Balkan Migration" (from 279 BC)

For eobrian2

Apologies as I have not got the relevant DLC I cannot set up a challenge with the Thracian Hellanistic as side A.
Can you set up the challenge - I can accept it with no problem and Galatians are a core army list so you will not need any DLC.

Have sent you PM too.

Thanks T.

Division C

Sunnyboy (Jewish 167-164 BC) beat Karvon (Achaemenid Persian 419-329 BC) 61-39

Tough battle with the Persian cavalry trampling a significant portion of the Jewish host. However, inspired by religious fervour the Zealots carried the day overwhelming the main Persian battle line.

Thanks for the game!

Retreat/Surrender?

Is this permitted? What is the penalty and how is it calculated? What is the procedure for clicking the retreat/surrender button?

When you can clearly see that it is time to leave the battle, should you just keep fighting till the last man? Are these last ditch efforts?
Yes, you are allowed to surrender. There is no penalty for doing this. A player losing a match, but scoring 50% or more can get a losing bonus point, so surrendering early is not always a good idea.
So, if one decides to surrender, do you take a screenshot of the battlefield and scores before clicking surrender, and then click surrender? What do we do if we wish to surrender but play out the battle out of curiosity? (Not a man will be left alive on my side if I don't surrender, I fear. However, I would like to let my opponent have the satisfaction too and see how well he can execute.)
