attacking infantry

A new title from Shenandoah Studio, the creators of Battle of the Bulge: March to Glory! Europe, beginning of the XIX century. Born from the ashes of the Ancient-Regime, the new French Empire is putting the old continent on fire, spreading the seeds of the Revolution

attacking infantry

Post by marshall Mayhem »

Damaged infantry seems extremely strong attacking uphill or across a river.
Many times my fresh infantry is decimated in 2 attacks by infantry with many losses and near the moral break point.
So bad I bailed several times.
I still love the game but will wait for update 1.5

thanks

thought I'd give it one more try.
Absolutely unplayable - all damage is devastating and the attackers are hardly suffering at all.
I checked all modifiers.
Seems like being on a hill (for me)is a detriment.
Attacking across a river seems like a good deal for the AI - disaster for me.
Any ETA for the 1.5 update.

also depends on the strength of the other side attacker, which may have some bonuses to combat in the modifier plus units each side etc which add to overall moral

No extra modifiers.
Tested on the Lutzen map random battle.
Just can't wrap my head around how an attacking unit uphill almost at the moral break point, by itself can devastate a fully healthy unit in 2 attacks.
Two uphill attacks while sustaining no losses.
Almost feels like the hard setting just got very, very hard.
Still love the game but I'm gonna wait for the next update.
Thanks for the reply.

PS - I'm still winning but it just doesn't feel right.
