Gotta Go for Awhile

Post by marshall Mayhem »

Developers.
I played over 50 hrs before 1.4 on hard.
There were a few issues in the woods and with rivers and hills but still fun.
After 1.4 things seemed different.
No defense from towns for me while I need multiple units to take a town.
A shoot out from a distance inf vs inf / inf vs arty / or arty vs arty is suicide.
I kill 1 - they kill 2
I kill 1 - they kill 3
It's only a matter of time
My units love to break very easily (even with Napoleon attached).
The AI troops when ready to break last for 2-3 more turns.
I'm talking about situations where everything is absolutely even or slightly in my favor.
Even on med these things still linger.
And with 1.5 they're here with a greater degree.
Almost always - every once in a while I get lucky.
I love when the AI with depleted forces, charges up hill and across a river to attack my fresh troops.
Usually devastating and they take no losses.
Nothing is making sense. (again I stress most of the time)
On the Smolensk map (just now) on med (custom battle) again I shot at cavalry in the next space by 2 squares, one line on a hill and arty and didn't make a dent.
The temptation to keep playing is such that I just uninstalled to wait for few more updates before I end up hating it.
I'll give it a try then.
I sincerely hope it gets fixed.
Thanks

The 1.5 update seems to have fixed some of your issues. It makes sense to me but I have seen some of your issues also. Strange indeed!
