Some naming issues

Post by Demetrios_of_Messene »

I would like to raise the following points to the attention of the developers in case they are interested in relevant changes in future patches. All below items are flavor related:

1. "Arcadia" should be renamed to Elis, as the region seems mostly intended to represent the home of the Olympics Games. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elis)

2. "Achaia" should be renamed to Corinthia, as the region seems mostly intended to represent Corinth.

3. "Graecia" province should be renamed to Achaia. It makes more sense both from a Latin perspective (actual roman province name) and a Greek one (Achaean League).

4. Graecian skirmishers provincial unit should be renamed to Hellenic skirmishers. Recruiting these units as any non Roman faction now sounds silly.

5. The cluster of Aegean islands called "Ionia" should be renamed to Cyclades. Ionia was located in Asia Minor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ionia

6. The state on the island of Rhodes should be called Rodos (or Rhodos or Rhodes if easier for native English speakers). Keep the latinisation for the region if you must.

7. The state of Tarentum should be called Taras. Keep the latinisation for the city if you must. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Taranto)

Just my 7 cents :)
