These Numidians and African spearmen look great! My congratulations for both of you. I especially like the bagage: very nice!

Here is a Camp I built today for Later Ottoman Turkish. When I hear Turkish I think Bombard but at the same time I did'nt want the camp to seem fortified so Its just a standard bearer and some dude :P. Figures are Essex Rennaisance Russians but I thought they looked fine for East European Turkish troops. Wagon, Tent and Bombard are Essex Miniatures and Asstd. Baggage from Museum Miniatures. Used Hammy's idea of tape on cardboard to hide the corrugation (thanks for that). Flag is off a link on the Madaxeman page.

Freezywater Flags do some very nice Burgundian Flags which really set off the Burgundian gendarmes (see the photos on the Vexilia website gallery at the following link) http://gallery.vexillia.ltd.uk/2010/05/ ... avery.html

Thank you for the tip. Actually I have ordered exactly these freezywater flags from Vexilia. Unfortunately, I think they're too big (especially the cornets). You can see some pictures of the flags size on my army project (see signature) page 3/post 44. So I scanned this cotnet, reduced its size, printed it and applied it to the standart-bearer you see here (from the front, so you cannot see much of the banner; for more views see my project ;)). The colours, however, are not as bright as the original ones. :?

I prefer slightly oversize flags on my figures as they stand out more and, as you say, the colours are better if you use the original flags. By furling the flag and directing it across the base, it reduces the length which helps. Give it a go as, in my opinion, the larger flags will compliment your very nicely painted figures.
If you do scan and re-print the flags at a smaller scale (or use flags downloaded from the internet), using the best quality matt photo paper (at around 115 gsm) helps to keep the colours as close to the original as possible.
I have used a Freezywater company standard and one of the individual's standard on each base of my Burgundian knights, all at original size.

These are my Indian generals. They are Xyston figures on a Tin Soldier elephant. I waited soooo long for the elephanst from Xyston that I gave up and use TS figures. I rather like the results as the Xyston elephants are a bit small.

Hi! Glad you like them!
My flags originally come from "freezywater". However, as I considered them to be much to big, I scanned them, scaled them down, and printed them out on good quality paper. Finally I glued the two sides of the flag together with wood glue (becomes stiff so you can simulate the wind ;) ) and painted the edges. Aditionally, I paint all "yellow" parts in gold and add a few shadows (at least I tried *g*).
