No option to export battles with Ubuntu

Post by gloriousbreak78 » Wed Jul 21, 2021 1:18 pm

Hello,

I have both Empires and FOG II installed, and have ran both games and created save files, yet I cannot get an export battle button.

I sadly lost my Carthage play through trying a reinstall.

I am running the Ubuntu and the games through proton 4.11-13.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I cannot locate where the save files are kept either, it is not in my documents.

Cheers

We don't officially support FoG on Linux. My guess is that the issue is that Proton sandboxes the games and they cannot see one another's save folders or registry entries, which is required to allow the games to know their comrade is there.

From what I can tell via Google, Proton stores windows files on a per-game basis in subfolder below:

$HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/[gameid]/pfx

Hope that helps

Cheers
