Cant stop the sound

Post by PicoSAM »

I cant stop the sound complety. Especially in the main menu and in multiplayer is always background music although it´s most time low music. But it disturbs me hearing other music or Audio plays.
I disabled Sound. I have set Sound Effects and Music to zero. And I have set Ambient Sound Off. I have tried to change between headphones and loudspeakers with no effect.
Was else can I do?

Strange. You should be able to turn it off or lower the volume to zero. I will pass this on to Pip.

In the meantime could you run a DxDiag report and copy and paste the top couple of pages here. Especially the part about your sound card.

I have the same problem. I have the multiplayer screen on in the background while I surf the internet and despite having the 'music' at 0, I can still hear the tune playing on a loop.

Thanks for posting your DxDiag report. I will pass your query on to Pip.

Currently there are no audio updates planned. You may find sound mods in the modding section - e.g. viewtopic.php?f=639&t=105080

I disabled Sound. I have set Sound Effects and Music to zero. And I have set Ambient Sound Off. I have tried to change between headphones and loudspeakers with no effect.

Unfortunately neither Pip nor I can reproduce this issue, which makes it hard to determine the cause or fix it.

It is worth noting that when you Disable the sound in settings, that does not take effect until you close and restart the game.

Tried that but I also still get low background music with the sound turned down. Not a major issue to me. It does it on both my computers which are quite different so is probably not computer specific.

Sorry to hear that. It is difficult to fix issues that we cannot reproduce.

Could anyone else with this issue please also post.

To clarify - you are saying that you get music playing even if you disable the sound entirely?

Can you please check in Documents/My Games/FieldOfGloryMedieval/OPTIONS.TXT that the appropriate line reads

Sound 0

Cheers

I also have this issue, but it only happens on occasion - maybe one out of every 60 MP turns. The music turns on, despite being set at 0 in my settings screen. If I then set the sound to 0, the music is muted - but then of course so are the game sound effects. It's a minor annoyance as I believe I need to play with the music off in order to not be flagged by YouTube for copyright violation.
