Disappearing exe file

I have had this happen twice now in the last 2-3 weeks. I try to start up the game with the shortcut and receive the message that it can't find the exe file. I check in the game folder and yes, it is not there. The last time, I re-installed the game and I guess I will have to do it again now. Any ideas why the start up exe file would disappear? I haven't had this happen with any other games.

I am not technical support, but my guess is that your antivirus software may be erroneously quarantining the .exe file.
