You're aware though that you may fight both with and against Mongols from time to time in the Ever-Green League? Since players swap armies after having concluded battles. That is, if you get to play against Mongols in one battle, then you'll play with them in your next battle.

Yes. In the earlier discussion on Mongols, the concern is that some armies simply are not built to face horse armies and thus produce games which are not much fun. And no one likes to put in the time and effort to play a game with mismatched armies. You're aware though that you may fight both with and against Mongols from time to time in the Ever-Green League? Re: Ever-Green League: Medieval?
Appreciated. But the EGL may offer mismatched armies from time to time; whether horse armies versus other armies, or unsuitable map types (pot luck) for certain armies. That's just part of the challenge if and when that happens, and should in my view not be taken too seriously but again as a challenge. Just make the best of the cards you're given, and if you lose badly or win easily, still not a big deal. And have fun while being at it, together with the person you're playing "against".Jagger2002 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 9:23 pmYes. After all, the EGL was set up not as another competitive tournament but to offer opportunities to play FoG2 casually and socially, yet in an organised way.

That's how I understood your initial post and - at least in my opinion - a league like the EGL should workAppreciated. Beautiful peasant army.

Re: Ever-Green League: Medieval?
This organized casual play seems fun. I pick German Imperial, please.

Can I grab the Teutonic Order? Thanks!
Re: Ever-Green League: Medieval?
I'd like to start with Baltic Tribes 1050-1283. For the variety!
Re: Ever-Green League: Medieval?
I'll go Bohemian 1200 - 1319 AD if no one else is starting with it yet.
Re: Ever-Green League: Medieval?
I would be interested and will take English if available.
Re: Ever-Green League: Medieval?
Interested by the concept. I would start first with Russian 1155 - 1264 AD
War is like hunting, except rabbits shot you back

That's it, I wouldn't choose a Mongol army, but sometimes there isn't any choice.Jagger2002 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 9:23 pmYes. Sorry, Captain: English seems to be taken unfortunately. Any alternatives?Captainwaltersavage wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 7:21 pm I hoped you would set this one up.

Sorry missed that one. Anglo-Irish then, or North Welsh, or Cuman. They all seem fun.

Re: Ever-Green League: Medieval?
Please count me in for when this kicks off.
If it's not already taken, I'll start with the Bulgar (Volga) 1040 - 1241 AD army list.
