hi. is there a code to reset the nds game to factory-new?

most ds games have a code you can enter (or often a combination of keys you press simultaneously) which deletes any saves or high scores and returns the game to new condition. there's no mention of this in the manual, does one exist for this game? my daughter was not very taken with the game, and wants to give it to her cousin for christmas, the only problem being that it's obviously been played through.
