i have voted 1 , but i want to explain , for me wtc should be a championship between countries.
At first before excluding russia , maybe we should try to know if there will be a russian team , do they want to play in the next wtc ?
For me russian players should not be banned , they are not responsible of their politic leader.
Why like in sport , they could not play under an other banner ? just calling their team with an other name, for example
It is important to establish the "rules" before to start the recruitment, not after. Many sport federations considered the war a good reason to exclude the Russian athletes to the competition. In our case it is right to share the decision between all the players, the community will decide the way.

So option 1 involves the use of national/regional teams, but excluding Russian players from the WTC?
If that’s the case, then there should be an option 3: the use of national/regional teams, available to all players (independent of their nationality).
This said, I don’t think national teams is a good idea at all, since it just divides and not unites, with political and linguistic barriers.
And because of that, I believe that the WTC doesn’t fulfil any purpose at all: better just let players play each other and team up, independent of their nationality. Will be better for a global friendship and community.
