1.4: Crash error during keyboard handler (FIXED in 1.5)

Hi

First of all, I love Conquest! Basically you've captured the whole idea of Slay! and made it better without making it too obscure. Needless to say I bought it right away :)

I do have a huge problem though: The game (1.4) crashes every time I try to type something in a text-box, ie. in the "Save game" dialogue it crashed when I've selected a slot and type the fist letter, in Skirmish it crashed when I try to fill you player name. I tried installing the game on my Vista 64-bit SP1 OS and on my WinXP SP2 OS and same thing happens.

I've pasted one of the logs below. I've let the Windows "Error Report" window Send Report to Illustrious Software, though I've no idea if they get those.

My best guess is I'm missing some runtimes or possibly .NET versions/servicepacks, but I'm hoping you can tell me what I need :)

Unfortunately it appears that a bug was introduced in the v1.4 patch which affects text boxes - any attempt to type in a textbox which is not masked (password input boxes) will cause this crash.

We are working on fixing this problem ASAP - as well as a problem where some systems can run out of graphics memory. Once these are dealt with there will be a patch made available.

Unfortunately, the only way to avoid the crash until then is to simply not type in these boxes and just accept the default values.

As for the error reports - we do get them, and they are helpful to us, so keep sending them if it crashes :)

Problem is I can't save the game without typing in a name in the box :(

Is 1.3 still available?
