It was careless mistake again ! I forgot to supply it at all :(
Isn't it better to just withdraw the Malta fighter if the Axis go after Malta? The fighter will be converted to 10 transport steps and should be able to escape if you use the subs to support the exit from the Malta port.

yes , very good advice ! I I was afraid of Italian subs . If I run into them , the Italian BBs would kill them all !

But you don't have to pay landing points as long as hexes are friendly (i.e. before Greece surrendered).
You had more then enough time to ship garrison, if you wanted. Afraid of mighty italian navy?

Okay, good progress in Greece and Malta.
Greece surrenders next turn, I am sure now.

Image

On Malta we land paratroops next turn (I was a bit afraid that Morris will rebase fresh fighter from Crete to Malta airfield, making
island conquest problematic, but looks like he is busy harassin my luftwaffe instead).
Malta garrison surreneder is now a question of 1-3 turns.

We enter Athens and Greece surrenders. Looks like Morris decided to defend Crete, but its nothing we can,t handle.

Malta defenders are down to one step - place surrenders next turn for sure.

Also british battleships spotted near French shores attacking my port garrisons.

Malta fortress surrenders, as expected.
We place italian garrison instead of british one there. If something happens in the MED, i might want to replace it with corps, but looks like Morris have little plans for the area at the moment.

Image

Now its time to do something with Crete. Not a good idea to have allied base so close to our lands. Afterall it should be easy compared to siege of Malta fortress.

Meanwhile in Eastern Prussia german troops are preparing for invading Sweden.

Battle for Crete continues, british fighter lose some more steps and we are ready to land italian corps on the island.

Another landing in the Baltic sea - next turn we are DoWing Sweden.

Convoy attacked in the Atlantic.

I am curious to see how Sweden works out for you. I have been tempted to try it myself a couple times. The biggest reason I have not is because it spawns partisans after surrender. There are many cities to cover, so I'm not sure it is worth all the units necessary to properly garrison them all.

Of Course he won't ! The latest 1941 Babarosa data should be June 22nd . but if he Invade Sweden , he must give up 1941 Babarosa & looking for a Europe fortress ! :)

I usually go for FE only when I reject the armistice. He will need to take care of Vichy soon, I think. Vichy is easy pickings for the Allies.

Invasion of Sweden executed. Quite impressive results, 2 battleships, 2 tackical bombers and 2 mechs (1 SS and 1 with + 1 attack leader)
managed to get Stockhold defenders down to 1 step. I did Sweden several times, and I can say, that this is above average.
I actually planed to land corps unit on the hex marked with dot to shield my HQ mech from counterattack of swedish mech, but because of
a) good combat results b)the fact that I still did't receive 3rd invasion point - tech is at 99% at the moment ; we decided to cancel this landing.
Corps returns to port in Eastern Prussia.

After Sweden our goal will be easy conquest of Norway.

Finland joins at the end of my turn.

By the way if you follow this AAR, it is probably already obvious to you, that I don't launch Barbarossa in 1941.
This is "Fortress lesser Europa" strategy, which I stolen from Doug shamelessly.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery so thanks. Try for a one turn take out of Leningrad in Spring?

Not sure about such distant things.
Also Morris reads this AAR, so even if I had plans, I would not share them here probably.

Sweden surrenders, just as expected.
Next turn we rail troops to attack Oslo and in 2 turns Norway will join us too.

Image

Looks like allies are planning landing in Europe. Looks a bit suicidal for them, as my forces are not busy elsewhere.

Manstein HQ armour and some corps railed to France, more will arrive next turn.

Luftwaffe is also on the way and subs are positioned for attacks.

Image

Only thing, which worries me is 4 british TAC bombers. But they have rather low tech for now.

Allies decided to land in France and even captured Brest from full strength corps.
Still city is in ruins and provide no supply, and I have my strategic bomber around, to keep thing this way.

Image

I had an opportunity to attack with my HQ armour (probably with very good results), but preffered to upgrade this tank while
gathering more forces around. Afterall if more british land, more we will kill. They are no challenge to german army this early
(oh, I hope so atleast).

Our subs also badly damaged CV unit, which was ambushed last turn. If I had Barbarossa in progress, finging forces to deal with
this invasion would be problematic, but since I don't...Another tank and mech arriving next turn by the way.

Image

Our mechs in Sweden are now positioned to capture Oslo next turn.
