You are missing FoG 1.
It seems you have FoG 2 which is a different game really.
You can buy FoG 1 here: https://www.slitherine.com/game/field-of-glory for nothing at all. Then update it to 1.8.1. You don’t need the DLCs to play the custom scenarios.
I have a bunch of custom scenarios here: https://www.militaryhistorywithfog.com
I’m working up to the Renaissance but eventually will go back and filling in/rewriting some missing ancient battles.

Hastings: Londo (A-S) 51/60 - Richard (Normans) 41/43

Two fragmented Norman units were in contact with steady huscarls, so I feel cheated here by the timer! :)

Dyrrhachium: Londo (Normans) 45/60 - Jim (Byz) 68/63

Byzantines need a bit of luck to have a chance, and they didn't have much luck in any part of the field.

Now, here's some music to put on while playing FOG ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rst1lmUnYNk

A song from the German 'industrial metal' band Rammstein, translated into Latin, and sung as a lovely monastic chant. Human creativity never ceases to amaze me!

Round 29: CHRISTIAN RESURGENCE IN THE EAST.

The first Crusade reestablished Christian control of the Levant thanks to the conquest of Jerusalem made secure by the victory of Ascalon, while in the Caucasus, Georgia emerged as a power surrounded by Islamic neighbours after the triumph of Didgori.

Ascalon

Fatimids (fogman) 54/75 vs Franks (allendeuce) 63/54.

The infidel cavalry and infantry did not coordinate properly.

Didgori

Georgians (fogman) 37/45 vs Seljuks (iandavidsmith) 50/50

The Seljuks did not try to retreat and stood their ground, in vain.

Hey Fogman, are you a descendant of some Norman aristocratic line? I'm just wondering due to all these Norman/Frank steamroller battles! :D Now my turn to get trampled under the hooves of Frankish and Georgian horsies: challenges up ...

I pretend, but that’s unlikely. Don’t shoot the messenger, there aren’t many battles where they were steamrolled instead... in this period, but the day of reckoning would come.

Ascalon

Londo (Franks) 28/54 - mcfcivo (Fatimids) 75/75

In this battle, the Franks were total hot dogs! The knights in particular were unstoppable, and only one of them was even disrupted at game's end. Fogman's Norman ancestors would have been proud!

Didgori

Londo (Georgians) 40/45 - fogman (Seljuks) 51/50

Before they were thrown out of Georgia, I hope the Turks got the chance to enjoy peach cocktails and go to an Atlanta Falcons game.

Londo (Seljuks) 31/50 - allendeuce (Georgians) 49/45

The Georgian nobles did fine, but they were let down by their Kipchak allies. King David was almost in danger of being enveloped by Turks as his flanks collapsed. It's been a life-long motto of mine that you just can't trust those bloody Kipchaks!

They left, repulsed by the choking stench from the Falcons, and went north to watch the Bills.

Ascalon

Franks (fogman) 45/54 vs Fatimids (Edmund) 76/75

I thought I was going to lose half way through but the knights just bulldozed everything, a few were under 50% by the end.
