WTC/Period1
Olddog52 defeats Frenetico 66-30.
The battle was fought over and around a low flat hill on the right side of the map. The Hittite army rushed to it as did the Egyptian chariots. As brave as the Egyptian light chariots were they could not stand up against the numerical superiority and heavy / light mix of the Hittite chariot division . Egyptian infantry hit my left flank hard but buy the time they got up the slope the Hittite charioteers had fought thru to their center from the rear.

Re: WTC GROUP B POST RESULTS HERE
WTC
Period B - match up 6
Karvon's Catalian Company defeated anderarcos11's Florentines 60-32.
Essentially, we drove up the right side and drove off his opposing light horse with our lights and horse. Our mediums followed up and secured positions rough, woods and along steep slopes on our right while one division of mediums circled around his right. The Florentines used most of their Men at arms to drive back or destroy our surviving horse and lights, but most of them in turn got shot to pieces by our crossbows and other skirmishers. The Florentine pikes advanced to counter and contain our medium foot in the center and right, but we with our wider frontage this left some gaps ,so we were able to get through and destroy his crossbows. We also were able to outflank one of his pike keils and saw that off on the left. He did manage to catch a couple of medium foot in the open with his pikes and men at arms in the process and we suffered some losses there. However, with only 3 surviving keils, it was easier to surround and destroy his last man at arms which gave us the win.

Match-up 3 Period 4
Triarii (German) defeats anderarcos11 (Florentine) 61-40
The Germans were able to shoot themselves into an advantage with X-bows massed on ther right - disrupting then fragmenting the Florentine C-in-C's Swiss Pikes. But after gaining an early advantage a sterling stand by Florentine raw X-bows (fragmented they stood up two Men at Arms units for two full turns) and canny defensive use of a hill bought time for the Swiss Pikes to rally and Florentine Men at arms to get amongst the German X-bows (who unlike the Florentines had not had their weetabix) and turned the fight into a very close one. Fortunately for the Germans the initial scattering of the Florentines and the Florentine Men at Arms pursuing the routed German X-bows left the Florentine centre open to flanking after the raw X-bows eventually headed home.
Good tight game - thanks to anders.

Match up 2
Period 4
Triarii (German) defeats hscic (Ottomans) 47-10
Army choices made things very difficult for a cavalry heavy Ottoman force.
A hedgehog of German spears and large numbers of X-bows with light artillery manged to use a lake and village to prevent very tough light cavalry from causing too much trouble. Meanwhile without any infantry support the Ottoman cavalry were badly shot while being stonewalled by spears and Men at Arms.
Good game thanks to hscic.
