Time to open discussion on themes for next year. My thoughts are
Three 15mm and two 25mm rounds as this year.
Reintroduce our ECW theme - as 25mm?
Other themes might be open 25 mm, armies and enemies of the Ottoman, nothing higher tech than a handgun, in the Americas, armies and enemies of Venice, armies and enemies of the Dutch, war on the Baltic, war on the Mediterranean etc?
Thoughts?

Re: Oxford Sundays themes for 2024
Hi Tom
Thanks for kicking this off. As I wont be along on Sunday, my thoughts are:
1/ Fine with the 15mm / 25mm proposed split of 3/2
2/ Fine with ECW theme for one of the 25mm
3/ Pretty happy with anything in the broader European theatre between 1600-1700 for a couple of the 15mm; and maybe go Asiatic / Americas / Africa for the other 15mm (chance to get out the Samurai or Ming Chinese / Buccaneers or Colonials / Arabs or Colonials)?
4/ Assume will still be 650pts + cheapest base on the snaller tables to get 3 games in on the day?
Thanks
David (B)

Re: Oxford Sundays themes for 2024
David,
Thank you for this. On your last point I was assuming so.
Another thought occurs to me, we could use the victor ludorum results for this year as a basis for handicapping next year. Any interest in doing this? It could be just in relation to the victor ludorum or, perhaps more usefully, it could impact the outcome of individual rounds. Views anyone?

Hi Tom
Was there any further discussion / agreement during the 25mm comp on Sunday last?
On the handicapping ranking - it seems I do better by staying away, so what's not to like?!?!?

Yes, we decided to bin the handicapping idea. No discussion was had on themes. Too much else to mull over.
