Oxford FOGR Sundays 2023 round 4
Round 4 of the Oxford Sunday FOGR will be on 19th November. It will be 25mm on a 6x4 table. After some discussion amongst the "hard core" 25mm players the detailed theme definition is now as follows.
Theme for 19th November: open subject to no musket armed units except for light foot.
Any questions or thoughts?
Army lists by end October lease.

I reckon muskets can look much like arquebuses?

I spoke withRay and Chris today.
Chris has said that he has several 25mm armies that he can lend.
So lack of an army is that an excuse for not attending.

Re: Oxford FOGR Sundays 2023 round 4
All,
Our next event, Round 4 25mm, is on 19th November.
After quite a bit of discussion outside this forum we have decided that we shall make no further amends to the standard rules for now. So it is 650 points, any army provided no muskets except for light troops, standard rules deployment except that baggage is half normal depth.
We also decided that we shall take the opportunity of meeting for a further discussion about 25 mm games and the perceived problem that foot can dominate the whole table. Suggestions for discussion include, but not limited to these:
Wider flank sectors
Reduction in quality of foot entering flank zones
CMT to be allowed to enter flank zones
Grateful for army lists as soon as possible please. My cards on the table now, I shall use Swiss.

Re: Oxford FOGR Sundays 2023 round 4
Further clarification to the 25mm.
Ray has pointed out and I had forgotten that the “standard” deployment rules for 25mm games played on 6x4 tables is that deployment MUs, but only deployment MUs, are done as 1” . So, just as in full size 15mm games, deployment is 15” for light troops and 10” for battle troops and flank sectors are 12”. The only change to the deployment rules is that the depth of the baggage is half normal so as to allow more deployment room.
As we said earlier, further discussion on the day to see if we want to make further changes for theDecember round.
All clear?
