Captured units are mostly decided based on historical availability (French and Russian equipment re-use is rampant, although historically the Matilda tanks were generally procured during the Africa Campaign) but also feasibility of use. As the DLC is geared toward tank and armored engagements more than anything else, the captured unit fill roles that see common use. The game is Panzer Corps, after all. ;)

Ships are never core units and aircraft have little to no historical basis for large scale re-use by axis forces.
No matter how much the German officers may have wanted them. ;)

The game may be Panzer Corps, but between the captured units and the SE tanks I am just starting to disband these tank "offers".
I dont have enough core slots to keep a balanced army if half of my units end up being tanks.

Also, from a screenshot you posted:

Out of 14 units, only 2 infantry units?!
May be effective but in that thread you aimed at increasing the game value of AT, am now starting to believe that what needs to be balanced is the infantry, more specifically the staying power of infantry in close quarters.
In my view, and you may disagree, an entrenched infantry unit in a city should never de dislodged by a tank unit.

That's a screenshot of multiplayer though, an entirely different beast.

Typically when playing MP, stocking up on infantry is pretty common anyways, and they did get some nice buffs in 1.04. That map is also an exception, and the Germans generally don't get an abundance of infantry. The British on that map sure do though. :)

Since I'm sort of a collector, I was wondering if someone could add all the units you can capture in DLC 41? On my first playthrough of DLC 40, I missed some tanks, so I started all over again :)
So far in '41, I have found a second Matilda in Greece and a T34 in Brest-Litovsk
Edit: KV-1B in Krasny

Where in Greece? (Also Krasny?)

Minsk 41 - Brest Fortress gives you T-34/40
I found KV-1b on Streets of Moscow - airfield top east corner of the map

There is also a T34 to get in Moscow. On one of the NW cities, the one with a Cavalry.

Demyansk pocket Uglovka T-34/41

My total: 5 Russian tanks - bit too much?

I also have 5 but didn't get the one in Demyansk pocket.

Also a funny thing I just noticed - one of my T 34 is named "Captured T-34/40" but the description of the unit and the stats are for: T-34/41(r). Its the one from Streets of Moscow (Krasnogorsk in the NW of the map)

I'm going to add one that I didn't see mentioned yet in the '41 DLC:

***SPOILER - HIGHLIGHT TO READ***

Zolotonosha Scenario - Kiev, when captured; T-34/40

We should compile a full list for '41.

Is that the SE city, near the bottom map border?

There are apparently 2 Soviet tanks in the "Streets Of Moscow" scenario that you can capture:

***SPOILER ALERT: HIGHLIGHT TO READ***

1. Krasnogorsk (grid hex 4,8 ) - T-34/40
2. Airfield at grid hex (24,3) - KV-1B

Good thing, too...although they came a little too late in the scenario for me to use them to any effect. I had my hands full with this one. 8)

I'm confused about all the captured units in DLC '41.

Is there a consolidated list?

Another question: Is there a limit on how many tanks you can capture per DLC? I did not get the one in the Demyansk Pocket scenario, so I am thinking because I already had 5 russian tanks before Demyansk (three T-34 and two KV), I didn't get the 6th?

I don't think there's a limit to the units that you can capture, since these just add to your core and you are limited by the amount of units that you can deploy - with the exception for the SE units of course.
Then again I have not tried to get them all (only the KV-1B seems worth to have sofar).

I guess I have to wait until DLC 42 to see if it made it into my core. Maybe it just wasn't placed properly after I captured the town, maybe on a hex outside the visible map? Or I'll just replay the scenario :)
