-2 GD to emphasize the high vulnerabily of artillery in firing position...better watch out for your artillery..it dies a lot faster now
All artillery will get a general
-25% (rounded to closest integer) SA and HA attack which powers down artillery and generally will cause a lot less casualties.
I hope this helps to make artillery mostly useful for suppression purposes (defense or attack) and not for wiping entire divisions from the map
I adjust these values later on the fly if the need arises

Of course, that makes much more sense. It's just your phrasing was confusing, because "get a general" sounds like the unit will get a hero. I think you meant to say something like "All towed artillery will receive the following global change."
Re: Panzer Corps East - The struggle for Russia "Grand Strat
I always thought artillery was over powering.
They should do more suppression and less kills.
As far as I'm concerned artillery if damn near king on the Battlefield.
That's why I have always felt they should be 25 to 35% more expensive in Panzer corps.
That way players can afford less of them on the map.

Litte pre pre alpha screen of the Karelian Front with the Fins trying to make a hole into the russian frontline
on divisional level with a (10 str = aprox 10000 men) this seems way off...
I agree...however I too think it really depends on the scaling..if you play Rgt. size its ok to suffer 2-3 strength points of an inf unit...Razz1 wrote:I always thought artillery was over powering.

Almost there. Looking good!
Re: Panzer Corps East - The struggle for Russia "Grand Strat
...I wish it would...but the starting forces are only the beginning...brettz123 wrote:Almost there.....
next step is a playtest ranging from start to 31st Dec 1941 to see if German forces can advance close to Moscow...
from there the real work starts

> recalculating game time scale (how may days per turn)
> scripting of russian armor and plane production...these are hundreds of units all with their own trigger

Are you going to incorporate victory banners into your map? I always like looking at my units and finding out where they have hoisted the victory banner.
Re: Panzer Corps East - The struggle for Russia "Grand Strat
???..how would that be supposed to work ?...brettz123 wrote:Are you going to incorporate victory banners into your map? I always like looking at my units and finding out where they have hoisted the victory banner.
I mean...this is no musical request show where we can call for our favorite songs ...each feature/function has somehow already to exist in the current engine in order to be used/exploited for the end of the mod...so..Iam not sure what you are referring to...can you elaborate that a bit further ?
Re: Panzer Corps East - The struggle for Russia "Grand Strat
Well, maybe he's referring to the yellow Star in the Special Fields Folder of the Szenario Editor. There were you define primary and secondary objectives and the placement hexagons for air and land forces. Every objective that's been given a yellow star will give an entry to the log in the units details like "unit xy hoisted victory banner over city z" of the capturing unit. By this you can see what objectives were captured by a certain unit.

Our favorite songs? Not sure what you are talking about there but the victory banner is already part of the game Please look at the picture below to see exactly what I am talking about.Chris10 wrote:???..how would that be supposed to work ?...brettz123 wrote:Are you going to incorporate victory banners into your map?
