Game crashes, won't start

Just bought the game. It won't start for more than 1 second. Immediately crashes. The game is broken.

I've two suggestions for you to try.

1) Please try adjusting your graphic card DPI setting to 96 (100%).

Open the folder where you've installed the game. Locate and select a file named "Legends of War.exe". Press the right mouse button and select "Properties". Click on the "Compatibility" tab. Tick the option "Disable visual themes" and "Disable desktop composition". Click on "Apply" and "Ok". Double click on "Legends of War.exe" to run the program. Check if there's any difference.

Are you using SLI (2 Nvidia Cards)?

I just tried that. still same crash. the splash screen comes up for 1-2 seconds then I get the error message and crash. I'm running it on Windows 7, btw if that matters.

I don't know how it's in the case with MAC's, but with PC's we have to certify that the integrated graphic card is disabled in the BIOS/CMOS settings. Otherwise the game might run using the Intel graphics instead using the external graphic card.
We should ruled out that possibility.

Like I've told you I'm used to PC not to MAC. I'm not sure if MAC's have a BIOS/CMOS like in PC and you're able to access it.

While the MAC OS X might do this automatically I'm not sure that this will happen with Windows 7, as in PC, things are a little different, and we have direct access to the BIOS.
It's not the same thing running Windows 7 on a MAC with bootcamp and running Windows 7 in a real PC system.

We could try one thing... run the game in windowed mode.
To do that please open the folder where the game is installed. Create a subfolder named "save". Now open this folder and create another folder named "0". Please note that it's a zero and not the letter O. Download the file attached to this post and unzip it. Please copy the extracted file, " 00000000.sav", to the folder named "0" that you've created previously. Try to run the game and check if there's any difference.

Ok folks, there's 3 threads here with the same issue i think, the game not starting on some imac 27" or imac 27" screens running at 2560x1440, the problem is the resolution, till they fix this, and i hope they will, switch desktop resolution to 1920x1080 and the game will load without any problem

I had already noticed since the first day, that most of the users who are having trouble are using bigger screen resolutions than 1920x1080. I thought that by playing in the Windowed mode it would help, but clearly it might not be enough to fix the issue.

do u know where the game store the info about what resolution it is going to use? i haven't found any config file or registry key. Once i got into the game i moved the resolution back to 2560x1440 and it suddenly crashed and now i can't get it back to a working resolution anymore

Ok i sent an email.

I would like to try in reinstall the game. I uninstalled and want to reinstall it but it won't let me re-download the game. it says i used up my download limit or something. But I have a broader set of issues now than just this game...

I also have several other slitherine/matrix games that i also need to redownload. I recently changed my PC to a new imac running windows 7 on bootcamp. the problem is slitherine/matrix won't allow me to redownload the games i had purchased previously. download limit it appears is like 1 download or something. the issue with the history legends game is a bit different in that its a brand new purchase and for some reason won't start. but now that i have unistalled it, and need to reinstall it like the other games and so I am having the same issue here.

So the list of games I have issue with redownloading are: (1) Battle Academy (plus expansions), (2) History Legends of War, (3) Time of Fury

Any advise?
