Post by tony0306 »

Hi, if anyone is interested in using 1/72 figures for field of glory and would like to share their ideas on army building and painting i've started a group concerntrating on 1/72 ancients.

It will never be a big group but i hope people will contribute their ideas on areas such as conversions and what 1/72 figures can be used as, for example, Hat carthaginian heavy african infantry can be used as successor pikemen.

Thanks.

Not a bad Idea,

There is already a 1/72 general discussion group called DBLCHM BTW, it is probably worth you joining that one as well.

As to successor pikemen why not just use Hat Macedonian pikemen?

Yeah I am already in that group. I wanted to have a group for people to give ideas on such things as what figures can be used in what army and have them in one place. Sort of a conversion/ancient army reference place.

I do have lots of Hat's macedonian phalanx to make the bulk of my troops the carthaginians will form the argyraspides/royal guard/agema BGs as well as providing a bit of variation.

OK, I have joined your group as I have a huge pile of 1/72 waiting to be used.

It's probably worth mentioning in DBLHCM as well.
