Yep... if only Dave and Gordon coudl have hung on for a couple more points against the Tatars with their 7 Elite Armoured 8+ bases BGs...

Thanks Richard for a great weekend.

Unfortunately I had to play all weekend on my own as Steve's wife was not very well.

I have to say I was completely shattered, hadn't realised how much easier it is with two.

Richard,

Thanks for a great weekend.
I am happy that Dave and Gordon did not hung on as Stephen and I would have come fourth!!!!.
Anyway Tim we beat you so gave you a chance to get softer draws in the third round.

Clearly, your strategy was insufficiently subtle.

I prefer to think of it as our Pikemen losing, rather than you beating us ...

thanks to all, esp RBS and our opponents, having spent the last year out of FOGR due to TYW combat fatigue, good to have a comp where the usual suspects didn't dominate. Hopefully the smae period will run next year, although if it does, might it not be fairer to make the cut off based on musket, not an arbitrary date? There are plenty of armies after 1570 who don't have musket or impact pistol.
