Re: Southern League 2014 Clevedon Round
Gutted I'm not there - away on hols - especially as I've got either an Inca, Malay, Mughal, Qin, Samurai or Hawaiian (again) army to use!
The field looks really interesting : Samurai x 4 (best army on show!), Mughal x 5 (OK as long as their battery of guns keep rolling 5's), Chinese x 4 (bow, bow and more bow), Other Indian x 3 (being used by Mr H as his winning army last year), Tibetan x 2 (small but scary with the HA horse!) and 4 other brave souls!
My forecast for podium glory in no particular order is:-
* Alasdair (He knows how to use the Hindu's but he gives you a chance!)
* Ben Jones (great player with a great army!)
* RBS (Has a reasonable understanding of the rules (!) and the Tibetans are a steamroller force who will win (or lose) big!)
As my last forecasting proved to be singularly unsuccessful, I've obviously doomed Alastair, Ben and RBS to mid table mediocrity! However good luck to all and thanks as ever to my namesake, Mr McHugh, for organising.
Have a great day and I look forward to seeing the results.

Re: Southern League 2014 Clevedon Round
From the Oxford Team - we came , we saw and we conquered - Thanks To Don, his family and the other members of the Clevedon Club for all their hard work and efficient organisation.
Thanks also to my opponents - Richard, Andy and Kevin, and Dave - three very enjoyable games even if I lost badly in the last game.
Look forward to seeing all of you at Oxford in April.

Yet another friendly, fun and efficient comp. My thanks to the team and my opponents, especially Bob who lost well (not badly!) in the last game.

Re: Southern League 2014 Clevedon Round
I have now run into a rather interesting situation in the Rankings. In the rankings I have a Mike Shepperd of Berkley club who played at Expo and whose ranking I will add the above to. I also have a Mike Sheppard of the Berkely club who participated at Farnborough & Godendag. On their own the two Mikes will end up with Rankings outside the top 50. If however they were the same person the ranking might even break into the top 40. Could some one from the Berkley club confirm if these really are two people, and if not what name are they entering competitions under.
