Cannot tell what units have action points left

Post by FroBodine »

Unless I am missing something, there is no way to see at a glance what units still have enough action points left to take an action.

This makes it very difficult to see who can still move/attack. I basically have to try to give each unit an order to see if it can do it.

I know I can use the next/previous unit buttons, but that just takes me to unmoved units. What about units that moved, but have not fired.

Please add some graphical icon or something to show that a unit can still act.

+1 totally agree.

You can tell once you highlight a unit but it would be much better with movement and fire icons. I rarely use a next unit button. Also a unit in pursuit (one that you can't control) could use a letter over it maybe "P" ;similar to the 'D' over disrupted units.

Have you tried using the unit list? (L hotkey). That does grey out units that have partially moved, but it shows the remaining AP and also whether the unit can shoot.

To make it easier to see, after the first patch the AP will be highlighted in yellow in the Unit List if a greyed out partially moved unit still has potentially usable movement points.

Thanks for your feedback, which helps us to make the game even better.

Thank you for the replies, Richard. The unit list is cool, but it requires a separate screen to see. I still would like to see this displayed somehow on the main screen, to avoid having to jump between the unit list and battle map, back and forth to check all units.

I will give the unit list mechanic a try, though, and see how it goes.
