Soviet Multiplayer Tournament

Post by goose_2 »

I am having so much fun setting up and playing in the 2016 Champion Tournament

http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 21&t=69735

Even though I am probably going to lose in the 3rd round but loving every minute of it.

I would like to set up another Tournament but the set up will be different.
There are 5 new Balanced Multiplayer Maps included with the newest Soviet Corps.
They are pretty awesome.

What I would like to set up is for all interested participants to either post, private message, or contact me in some special way. ;) Let me know you are interested so I can compile a list.
The tournament will consist of 5 rounds.
Each round you will be competing against a new player and you and your opponent will be playing a paired game with undo off. We will compile all the wins and losses after the 5th round and whoever has the most wins of each 10 games wins the contest.
No one will be eliminated. All players will play all 5 rounds.

Requirements must have Soviet Corps and must be willing to play all 5 rounds.

Sign up by May 11th, 2016.
We will start on May 12th when I post participants for first match.
First Round will be Summer Offensive

Get practicing, and let me know if you are interested.

Hey, if you need more players I am in! I won't be much of an opponent though, because I do not have time to prepare for the maps and practice.

OK
There are now 6 Marshals of the Soviet Union are: Goose_2; TopGun; Braccada; RAG116; Stephen1024; and Mkoki
We will definitely playing 5 rounds as there are 5 Balanced Maps. (I will assess the rankings as we go and see if after the 5th Round if any more matches need to take place.)
The only way to be eliminated is to stop playing as unfortunately happened in the Championship match up with at least 2 players.
We will all be playing the same match head to head with 2 players simultaneously, so technically 4 games at the same time.
You will have 4 weeks to complete your match up with a weekly touch base pm from me to see where everyone is at.
I will be posting the results and any flair anyone is willing to share from their match ups as I love flair, love love love it.
The first battle shall be:
Summer Offensive: paired game undo off
Goose_2 vs: Stephen1024
Stephen1024 vs: RAG116
RAG116 vs: Mkoki
Mkoki vs: Braccada
Braccada vs: Topgun
Topgun vs: Goose_2

(You do not want to know how long it took me to think that up.)
I have set up the matches for Stephen1024 and TopGun
Password will be
comrade

Battlelines are drawn and the matches are now set.

To the front Comrades and as always Blessings on your endeavors. ;)

1st weekend done and I have completed both of my matches.

I captured and held all major objectives by Turn 16 as the Germans.
As the Soviets I destroyed every German unit by turn 17.

It feels pretty good to win instead of lose like I did in the MP Tournament Championship 2016.

I look forward to hearing how the other matches are coming along.

Rag throw bold and nicely done attack north as Germans. It was nicely played, leaving game looking tight.

I managed to throw bold nice attack south as Germans, scored nice bit damage on Rag, but to early to tell.

Both proving be interesting matches, hoping I playing better then I did against Goose, who mopped the floor with my poor units.

I have say the MP is proving be fun challenge, that so far all I played MP against been great guys, so anyone reading not tried MP do try it, as fun seems people on it are there for fun of and very open to teaching just having fun. Not like lot MP places with all childish stuff.

Hi Comrades, i want to suggest change of scoring system (if possible) in this tournament (to be honest I dont know the rules in this one)...I know that we are in progress with first round but if you all agree, all victories should be count as 1 point and all decisive s with 2 points (could be 3 and 5 if ratio 2-1 is not adequate)...because we are playing balanced maps tournament, i think that speed and prestige are not so important at the end as in non balanced games.. After each round , goose will post the table with current points achieved...after all 5(6) rounds, in the semis, 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 but first and second player will chose the map and side (or paired game)..fifth and sixth player will play one match for ranking order (again, better player will choose the map) ..At the end, final table with victories and points will be shown..

btw my both matches with Rag and Braccada are in the early stage (7-8 turns past) so its too early to forecast anything

Off course, this is just an idea to make more interesting league/tournament ...
