Hello Akula,
Great mod, very wonderful.
The M2A2 Bradley is equipped with TOW who have a range of about 3000m. It would lengthen the range in the mod.
Air transporst have no fuel limit.

Ok phcas, you have been officially hired to help me to improve my units
Nice details for sure. Can I stay in contact with you in some future?, in case you accept to help me out with my units?.

Thanks for your words. I am glad you like this demo so far.
Yeah, I know the Bradleys (and even the BMP-1 answering to uzbek) are equipped for anti tank warfare, but remember the balance guys. I cant make a tank/IFV/APC to have artillery range, it would brake the balance.
Take WW2 for example, tanks in that time had up to 1.2 km range, and we have 0 hex range in game.
I am aiming to find a compromise between modern war and the classic PzC, all this for the gameplay sake.

Actually, still I am thinking about some multi purpose function for submarines. Not about depth, but something else.
phcas wrote:Hello Akkula,

Spend the whole day with your demo. Very very nice. I like it very very much. Thank you.

*You have 3 recon units in your demo. The spotting range of this units are 2 hexes, but the spotting range of most other land units are also 2 hexes. I think becausse it are recon units that their spotting range must be 3 to make a difference with the other land units.

Greetings and compliments

PHCAS
To receive such words from a modder of your caliber make me very happy :D . Thanks!
Regarding the recon units: my fault. Actually the Bradley is not a recon unit, its just a fighting vehicle, recon units will come in the full version. BUT as we know, there is no other class in PzC so I will use Recon one for all vehicles: recon + AFV. I will change the name of that class.
In that case I think your googles icon are just perfect to help to distinguish one class from the other, so again, if you accept to help me out that would be fantastic.
Thanks again.

Thanks Guille. I have even more surprises to show in the next weeks. :D

Hello Akkula,

Let's see what we can do and what you want.

Do you want to use the flags/symbols (1) to show the nationality or unit badge?
Do you want to use the special symbols (2) to recognise difference between attack and transport heli's?
Do you want to use the recon symbol (3) to quickly see your recon units?

You can contact me directly: caspargreuter@gmail.com

Greetings PHCAS

In real life, when a jet of the F16 class comes low over the ground, as in exercises, etc..............................you see it for a mili second come over you and you hear the sound a bit later. It's pretty scary. You did not expect it and by the time you catch the brief blur of it flying over, it is too far gone to see it in the distance. Mind boggling. But I think a Warthog in action is probably the most scary of all because you can see and hear it at the same time, not exactly slo mo but slo mo compared to the F16 class jets.

Thanks. It was interesting to look at a demo.

I think ahead a lot of work on balance of units.
Imho, It is difficult.

Maybe when the majority of units is ready, it will be easier to build balance.

For example the Patriot of range 4 (Maybe too small), ZSU - range 2 (maybe too much :-).
Many units have antiaircraft means like manpad.

There are questions to a ratio of anti-tank ability.
In many units, including infantry enough effective anti-tank remedies, ATMG and so on.

If look at Syria, Iraq - the regular/unregular infantry with ease destroys any armored units, in any quantity...

Yeah, dont worry I have many ideas for the different AA defense systems, as you could see in the demo the MIM104 has a lot of range. Conventional AA guns will have less range of course.
The anti tank war is another story, that is why I added the RPG infantry. Maybe I will boost them or not (keep in mind they have a decent GD value)... but they will have an important role in the game 8)

True, but I don't need WW3 breaking out next year OUTSIDE of the game! That would suck, a lot. (Though it might convince the Aussie government to stop sending all the manufacturing to China. I could do without all the stuff being made there and being rubbish.)

Maybe it's an idea to make the aircraft who have drop fueltanks in two ways in the game. With and without the droptanks. (With droptanks Speed -1 Fuel +??)

Some new ideas have emerged for the air units, courtesy of phcas :D . I think the air war is going to be VERY interesting in this mod.

And in another topic: almost 100 downloads!. Thank you all guys, this give me more motivation to continue working on this project :D
More screenshots in the following days.

Best regards.

I think someone made a 1973 Yom Kippur mod for the original Panzer General, I never played it but it looked pretty good.

Also, about the idea of submarines having multiple operating modes, this mod might be of assistance. Of course, this wouldn't be too useful for modern nuclear submarines since they're faster underwater and have no particular advantages when surfaced, so they have no reason to be anywhere except in deep water or periscope depth modes. AIP or diesel-electric submarines, on the other hand, have to recharge their batteries on the surface (or with a snorkel at periscope depth), so the multiple modes could be useful for these boats. The mod's U-Boat pens might also be a good basis for the Wasp class landing ships, as they can both accommodate units and have defensive functions.
