Re: Roll Call 2017
No cock up explanation! I meant to enter 15mm and put 25mm by mistake, here's hoping for a refund of the 25mm one!

Re: Roll Call 2017
Folks
We are now at 111 overall tickets sold for Roll Call 2017 out of a venue capacity of 146, and currently we have just six 25mm FoGR registrations and Keith playing with himself in 15mm.
With only 35 more places left up for grabs, and with bookings running at a rate of almost 20/week since the beginning of December there is now a real possibility that we will be looking at close to a sellout by the end of the year - which would then be the point at which the viability of FoGR 15mm would need to be reviewed.
So, if you are planning on playing FoGR 15mm at Roll Call next year, please sign up soon!

Re: Roll Call 2017
Just added myself to the FOG R 25mm. Mainly as I didn't want to play 5 games against Keith

Re: Roll Call 2017
We're down to less than a dozen places left across all periods now, so I've moved Keith to the 25mm as well... sadly, no 15mm this year.

Re: Roll Call 2017
Hi,
Re the emails about table size for 25mm FOG R at Roll Call, I vote for 4 foot depth rather than 5 foot. That extra 12 " equals 7.5 MU . Therefore an infantry unit advancing towards artillery could be under fire for an extra 2 or 3 turns, which is 4 or 6 lots of artillery fire.
Just a thought.
regards Dene

Re: Roll Call 2017
Hi Guys and thanks for your feedback, which was split on 5' and 4' with bigger deployment zones.
I've decided to use the full table depth, but deployment distances will add 3" i.e. Light troops & artillery 18" and battle troops 13" in. This enables us to use the full depth of the table, but also not run into the usual issues with the relatively larger camps cramping deployment.
What this means is that armies will start 34" apart which with a 12cm infantry move would give contact in 8 moves (standard move) or 6 moves (including double moves), assuming the enemy was stationary, which compares with 10 and 7 moves respectively for the usual 15mm scale. Therefore contact will be quicker.
Hope that's clear!
Don

Re: Roll Call 2017
I have sent Don two lists; my preferred and a back-up. Hopefully both are legal. As an experiment, and only if Don is happy with the idea, I am willing to bring both sets of troops (Heavy weight commitment!) and let my opponent choose which army (of the two) they would prefer to face.
Thought it might add some spice. Any comments?

So your bringing both your's and Izzy's army and going to play with both. Does that mean we can use 1400 points!!!

Bob
It is always interesting to get an insight into how your mind works: scary but interesting.
The idea is that you get to choose which one of my two armies you want to play. Essentially I am trying to give myself an excuse for losing against everbody.
Izzy is not coming; she has had enough of us for a while.

Re: Roll Call 2017
All,
Apologies for the delay but I was waiting erroneously for one list (long story). Unfortunately Nik Gaukroger has had to withdraw, so I too have stepped down to keep the numbers even. Anyway here is the information you have all been waiting for, namely the runners and riders plus the first round draw.

Let the banter begin.
