Re: Oxford Round of the Southern League 2017
Is anybody driving to this from South(ish) London who will have a spare seat that I could scrounge?
I have a commitment on Saturday night and public transport is a bit difficult Sunday morning!

Is this because of the irregular size of the tables, or to try and help players get into action quicker, or both? (Either way, I think it's a good idea, btw.)benjones1211 wrote: Set-up Rules: - There will be the following modifications to the normal set-up rules –
• light troops will deploy up to 21" and battle troops 16" in from the owning players the base line.
• light and medium artillery can deploy up to 18" in from the base line.
• Unlimbered heavy artillery would still only be able to deploy at 15".
Will this include the re-valuation (hopefully downwards) of Determined Horse? After my experience at Godendag, I could do with knowing that it's only my crap dice I have to worry about (granted, I won't be playing three Later German armies with hordes of panz....er, I mean HA cuirassiers again, but.....).benjones1211 wrote: Special Rules: - We have decided to play test the proposed changes to FOG R that are being discussed on the Slithering Forum.
Nice Freudian typo.

The closeness is to get people into contact quicker.
Yes the DH cost a lot less as do Cavaliers, also there are very few HA allowed in the ECW lists. Finally Armour is only a 1/2 POA advantage not a full one, as its a reroll change not a POA change.

OK, so do we have a new cost for Superior and Average DH and Cavaliers? I looked on the relevant "update" thread and couldn't find it.

Re: Oxford Round of the Southern League 2017
We are working with Paul from Burton to get a revision to the list making spreadsheet using the new point values and changes in time for us to make it available to players for the Oxford Round. This will assist both the players and Tom in ensuring lists are correct. We are taking our time to allow finalisation of changes being discussed on the forum.

I'd be doing it as a day trip - there's probably some sort of connection via Clapham that would make sensesteads wrote:Is anybody driving to this from South(ish) London who will have a spare seat that I could scrounge?

However, I've got a Uni walking club reunion that weekend in the Lakes, so sorry chaps, I can't make it now.
Re: Oxford Round of the Southern League 2017
Will,
I have added Pete Simpson to the list.
I am disappointed that you prefer getting drunk with your old mates from Uni rather than defending the King by playing with a Parliamentary army!

In keeping with the times and in the interests of period authenticity, will heretics be burned? (Indoors if wet, obviously.)viking123 wrote:We are considering using some if not all the proposed updates to the FOG R Rules at the Oxford Round.

Unfortunately Will is not coming.
There is certainly enough space in the front of the Hall outside.

And Bob, I would add that I plan to make it to OWS on 6th March with an ECW Parliamentary army (assuming I get the new points listing from Ben to make it easier to recalc for 900 pts).

Nigel,
Glad you can make it. It would not be the same without you.
