Looks like an interesting game. I'm not sure whether I ever saw a combination of Vichy+invasion of Spain+invasion of Egypt.

British forces abandoned their positions on Nile, retreating further east.

Image

Our units in Spanish front were again harassed by RN. Looks like some British transports were heading for Middle East, but now will unload in Spain instead.

Image

During Axis turn more progress was made in Africa, Suez reached and it does not look like Allies have any troops to stop us here.

Image

Good progress in Spain too. Zaragoza taken, we will be able to rail some heavy units there next turn, so they dont need to cross all that forest/rough terrain.

Image

And German battleships detected British BB near Norway, which was immediately attacked and reduced to 2 steps. Sad I don't have one of my subs in this area to finish it off.

Now Allies abandoned Suez defensive line too, while we got good big rebellion in Iraq.

Image

Image

More harassment in Spain, but damage taken was manageable and British CV got battered in process.

Image

Naval action continues near Norway, looks like there was another BB parked there.

Image

During Axis turn Madrid was reached in Spain. We are going to take Spanish capital in 2-3 turns, unless something wierd happens.

Image

Second RN BB was reduced to 2 steps, now we have sub to finish it off in port, if we are lucky. Most of British navy is busy near Spain, so its relatively safe for our ships to operate there.

Image

And in Africa Suez was secured without much Allied opposition.

RN retreats, leaving our forces in Spain alone.

Image

Some convoys spotted by subs. British DDs dont have any ASW upgrades, so they posess little threat for our u-boats.

Image

And BB did not retreat from Norwegian sea, doing suicidal attack on our destroyer instead.

Image

In our turn 4 hexes around Madrid were cleared, attacks against the city will be started next turn.

Image

In Middle East Syria was left empty, so we can take it too. We need couple of turns to repair/upgrade our units, before crossing Iraq border, as it will trigger Persia joining Allies. Problem is if we wait for too long, our Iraqi rebels would be slaughtered.

Image

Our sub failed to sink 2 step BB, but another one got destroyed by DD.

Image

One of convoys in central Atlantic was sunk. We are deploying more subs here, Allies have enough PPs already, no need for that convoys reaching Britain.

You are succeeding in one thing which rarely is seen, that is, to get Axis naval supremacy without having built a strong Kriegsmarine/Reggia Marina fleets. Once the Med is closed (which is likely to occur berore USA enters at war), and Italian BB's join German fleet, RN escort units will be in peril.

Regarding Iraqi partisans, the ones in the south maybe will be falling apart soon but the stronghold in Mosul is likely to resist until Axis forces enter Iraq.

During Allied turn couple more counterattacks occured and some partisans in Iraq got killed.

Image

Image

In our turn we captured Madrid - that was rather fast, expected it to hold longer. Now lets see, how many British forces actually arrived to Spain, we still need Gibraltar.

Image

In Middle East just march towards Iraq border for now. We supplied first partisan, which going to survive now.

Thats what we have in Spain - honestly I have expected more with all that transport ships. Probably they headed to Basra instead?

Image

Meanwhile 1 step BB spotted parked in northern Ireland, we will try to sink it, unless it gets repaired.

Image

Nothing new in Iraq, we are going to fully repair and upgrade our units before crossing the border in 1-2 turns. Italins were sent to secure Syria.

Situation in Spain - thats solid RAF fighter force based in Spanish Morocco, but ground forces seem manageable.

Image

And we also prepared naval invasion of Greece, its not like Allies can do something about it.

Image

Image

Our African army finally ready to advance into Iraq.

Image

In Spain battered corps and garrison were killed fast, only Gibraltar now left.

During Allied turn mech disembarked into Gibraltar and yet more transports spotted.

Image

In our turn we killed garrison and battered mech. They are unentrenched and have low morale because of being recently unloaded from transports, I don't see problem killing/battering all that units one by one, if I have to.

Image

Our own landings in Greece commensed, reducing Athens defenders to 4 steps.

Image

Had to delay actual advance into Iraq, as TACs are busy in Greece now. Well, thats less income for USSR afterall (later Persia activation), we can live with that.

During Allied turn corps in Athens was repaired to 7 strength.

Image

In Spain mech unit unloaded into Gibraltar:

Image

Image

Axis turn:

Mech in Gibraltar was almost killed and we prepare attack on Portugal.

Image

In Greece Athens held at 1 step, thats a bit annoying.

Again corps repaired in Athens.

Gibraltar was surprisingly left empty:

Image

In our turn we capture both Gibraltar and Athens. Portugal DoWed and Lisbon down to 2 steps.
Even more, we trapped Polish fighter in Spanish Morocco.

Image

Image

Iraq border was crossed too.

In Allied turn corps in Lisbon was repaired, but not much else happens.

Image

In Axis turn Lisbon was taken and more progress was made in Iraq. Partisans near Mosul received supply, Baghdad seems empty, but annoying British fighters are everywhere.

Baghdad was taken surprisingly easy. Now going to attack Basra. We still should not cross Persian border, as that triggers USSR entering war.

Image

Our subs are patrolling Atlantic, sinking convoys with little RN opposition.

Image

Even Canary Islands were secured. I really expected Allied garrison to be guarding the city, but it was empty.

Everyone following, sorry for a delay. This one will be updated frequently from now on!

During Allied turn RN DD ran into our u-boat:

Image

In Axis turn both DD and convoy were sunk by massive sub fleet:

Image

In the Middle East Axis armies are now advancing on Basra, which seems poorly defended:

Not much happening this turn - we are just getting closer to Basra. Looks like Allies don't plan to defend the place at all.

Again action only in Iraq - Basra attacked and almost taken.

Image

RAF fighters are annoying as always with their interceptions.

1942 started with capture of Basra and Iraq surrender - repairing garrison there did not help Allies much.
