Re: Derby Worlds 2017
We now have confirmation of an entry by Les Trois Mousquetaires (Chris Beesley, Clive McLeod and Tim Wickens). This gets us to seven, so another team would be great if anyone's up for it.

Re: Derby Worlds 2017
Actually, you may be down to six again - two of my Wessex colleagues are looking like they are going to have to drop out due to work commitments.
I would remain available as a spare player if needed.

Re: Derby Worlds 2017
Belay that last post - we are back in again! The team will be Paul Marsh (Vespasian 28), my son Patrick, and me - The Wessex Ones.
The bad news is that, whilst Paul can provide a Spanish army, we are short on anything 28mm, and anything with nellies. Can anyone help us out?

Brendan,
We can discuss at Devizes but I should be able to help with elephants.

Re: Derby Worlds 2017
Paid for the entry of the Misfits but was not asked to say who I was or what team I was paying for.
Also unusual in that I had to pay per person and not Team.

Re: Derby Worlds 2017
We are pleased to be able to report that the Derby Worlds website is now set up and able to take bookings.
Tickets to the events include a weekend show pass, a £5 discount off any £10 purchase at the show and the Show Goody Bag too!
Trophies will be up for grabs for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, with prize support from KR Multicase, Caliver Books, Great Escape Games, Magister Militum, Old Glory UK, and The Treefellas among others already confirmed!
Please be aware that many of the rulesets familiar to players at other BHGS events are running as team events this year at Derby, and when booking these competitions you will need to book 3 places (one for each team member) using the form on the Derby website.

Re: Derby Worlds 2017
With the debate going on about what proposed rule changes are going to be used at Britcon let me start the debate by asking what changes are we going to be using at the Derby Worlds?
As we have three very different periods perhaps in the worst situation we can use three different versions of the proposed rules?
Bob

Re: Derby Worlds 2017
I suspect it will be the set used at Britcon, unless the 24 games we play there throw up any major problems that need addressing

Re: Derby Worlds 2017
I have posted a revised points proposal in the Update section. This isn't firm yet, but it is my intention to use this for Derby. I will confirm any changes based on input received before the end of August.
The rules revisions will otherwise be the set used for Britcon, unless as Tim has noted anything emerges there that needs to be resolved.

The Team that needs a new name for this year:

Team Wessex
Bendan Morrissey, Patrick Morrissey, Paul Marsh
The Burton/October Unholy Alliance:

Re: Derby Worlds 2017
I may have a solution for you - unfortunately, Team Wessex will definitely have to withdraw (as opposed to last month's false alarm). I have a number of appointments in the week leading up to, and possibly over the weekend itself, and Patrick has to move flats (sadly accommodation, rather than the military kind). Apologies, but hopefully that solves your problem.

Thank you Brendon, it would have been better to find an extra team.

Re: Derby Worlds 2017
Oddly enough, Team Wessex tried that when we were stuck at 5 for a couple of months.

Re: Derby Worlds 2017
As no untoward issues were reported following Britcon, we will use the same version of the Rules Update for Derby. This can be downloaded from:
http://www.bhgs.org.uk/britcon---field- ... sance.html
For points values however we will use the latest proposal:
I will email each team's leader to ensure that those who are not forum regulars are aware.

Tim,
Paul Kitcher is one of my three. He has replaced Ben Jones. I have let the organisers know.
