TopGun vs Djinnwind .

DW has a win as the Kraut and might pull one off as the Frog . Should be done on time .
TG plays one turn a day , rain or shine .

I lacked spirit in defense and was sloppy and disorganized on the attack. Early unofficial result is a Muwatalli victory, winning faster as Axis.

I tried a pretty passive, layered defense...which will be beaten in around 14 turns. I did some silly things as the Germans, and Muwatalli made me pay for every mis-step.

It's my third loss, so good luck to the remaining generals. I thoroughly enjoyed my matches, and the lessons my opponents shared with me through the destruction of my forces. HUGE thanks to Goose for all the hard work, it is a great tournament.

Update on France:

Nicknilsbart vs. Puddleduck

Nicknilsbart dominated and won both matches!

I believe this means I'm out, so good luck to everyone (especially those that defeated me!). As always, kudos to Goose for setting this up. Look forward to the next tourney!

Quick Update from the Goose man
My internet was out all day yesterday, and now that it is up I am moments for leaving for a Lutheran Homeschool retreat, so yeah, a Niche of a niche, anyway, I will not have access to anything or be checking anything until late Saturday night.

So hopefully any issues can be worked out and resolved, as I will be unable to assist.

Check in on Saturday, when hopefully most, if not all matches shall be finished.

Blessings on the rest of this week and into the weekend.

TG has turns 21 and 22 to pull off a German Victory .
Hopefully he will finish or concede the game today .
If not , at his One turn a day rate we would be done Monday .

Our game Gwaylare vs Alexrus is finished.

Gwaylare won as Axis in Turn 13
Alexrux won as Axis in Turn 19, I did surrender today with no hope to get beyond turn 20.

This was a great game, thanks to alexrus and I am glad to met him in a Blitzkrieg map like France, because on a tactical level alexrus was the superior player.

HowlingEmpath ** vs Muwattali **

I want to set up matches on Tuesday, so that I can post Round 5, Greece, early on Wednesday May 2nd, at the latest.

The rest of the people still have time to prepare your strategy for Greece, just not too much more time.

DCK and me have not finished in time.

We are around turn 13-14 and both (i think) are equally close to a axis win in 2-4 turns (barring any surprises).

In my honest opinion it could have gone both ways.

DCK set the game up very late (about a week in) and took around a weeks pause during our match, but I have no idea how this should factor in. All I can say is that we would have made it otherwise.

Ok these last 3 matches are the only ones I have to hear back from the results

Stefano63 **
vs
Whitescale **

buffaloraven **
vs
red1971 **

DCK *
vs
Warhomer *

DCK and Warhomer have gotten back to me and will be unable to finish.
Based on the dynamics of their match Warhomer will tentatively be declared the winner, so DCK will be paired up as having 2 losses into the 5th round, but DCK can still give Warhomer a black eye by finishing the game late and reporting the results, if he is able to beat warhomer late warhomer will also have his 2nd loss, but for Round 5 will be set up with someone who has only lost a single match.

Stefano63, Whitescale, buffaloraven, redtiger1971

Have yet to report and unless I hear something soon all 4 will be eliminated as no shows.

I am now going to attempt to set up the matches for Round 5, Greece.

Since I am home sick today I can hopefully post matches today. :D

ROUND 5 Greece Match Ups

Post by goose_2 »

Here it is!

What you have all been waiting for
Greece match ups.

I have a match up for every one except gilgul, if we have no shows, I will arrange a player based on the no show.

With that said:
Ok the time has arrived...8)8)

Round 5 Greece: Deadline Monday June 4th
This map also favors the Germans, but do not estimate your opponent on one of my very favorite maps.

Players on the left set up the match.
Issue a Challenge:
Greece
Paired Game
put your opponents name in the description
you need to click undo off (The system has a glitch and does not show undo as selected off, but it should be set up that way)
set the password as:
tournament

Players on the right go into multiplayer Accept Challenge, find your opponent, name to the left, type in the password,
Play your German turn

Here are the official match ups: (I really tried to avoid rematches.)
This side sets up the match vs This side accepts

Firefly ** vs jad43 **
Gwaylare vs Signum
A432 vs rishat
goose_2 * vs alexrus *
Wolfepanzer * vs paulwalvoord *
Stefano63 ** vs Robterdam **
bigdogcurt ** vs agentj23 **
ClaireRedfieldU * vs Mkoki77 *
Padisha ** vs Netballman **
Acetanker ** vs Nicknilsbart **
Urban * vs PAK_Paule *
djinnwind * vs Ins07 *
elninjo ** vs Muwattali **
Riker ** vs dickesKind **
Lifever vs armstein
rag116 vs coombes545
pelocho08 * vs NightPhoenix *
SSIGeneral ** vs Gerg71 **
sn0wball * vs Victor_K *
Hugh Moore * vs alfredoallu *
Yoky * vs Warhomer *
mhadina ** vs Vincat **
sss0216 * vs woken *
Cougarranger * vs Indywise *
drkjell * vs httpouille *
DD_Ovy ** vs Elpatriarche **
ApaniTiger** vs treacypr **
IronCouncil * vs jimthechip *
texasboy ** vs SUGAR74 **

fcastrotello * vs Ratprince *
pophead ** vs herrmann**
Mordigo * vs DeaconBlue *
hansstory ** vs Shilod **
StahlRat ** vs gw15 **
gilgul ** waiting for no shows

No reloading as always...

Players should be playing both sides subsequently and you will have until Monday June 4th, 2018 to complete your match so I can set up Round 6. (Barbarossa)

Please everyone accept the challenge by Saturday, May 5th so you can get started and get enough time to finish the match.

Again the Rules for winning:

How do you win a scenario?
Winning conditions will be based on the following:
1) Who wins the match up first. IE: You are playing your opponent and you get the last victory Objective on Turn 12, they do it on Turn 13 You win because you were faster.

2) If you both win on the same day, then it will be determined based on who has the most 2ndary Objectives. IE: You both win on Turn 12, but you have 4 2ndary Objectives and your opponent has only 3. You win because you took over and held more stuff.

3) If you both win on the same day and have the same number of 2ndary Objectives. It will come down to who ends with the most prestige to determine the winner. IE: You both win on the same day and with same number of objectives taken, but you have 500 in prestige and they have 499, you win because of your asset management.

So...If both opponents lose as the Germans, than it will come down to how much territory the Germans were able to maintain.
Starting with Primary Objectives:

1) You have 3 Primary and your opponent has 2 Primary...You win.
If those are the same...
2) It will then come down to 2ndary Objectives. You and your opponent both have 2 Primary Objectives, but you have 1 2ndary and your opponent has none. You win.
If those are the same...
3) If those end up being the same, the 3rd condition will be a little different, it will come down to how many surviving units you have on the map, not prestige.
So, you have 2 Primary and your opponent has 2 Primary and you both have no 2ndary Objectives, but you have 5 units remaining, 4 infantry and 1 tank, and your opponent has 4, 2 tanks and 2 inf...you win.

Let me know if there are any questions.

Blessings on your match ups, and as always...Stay Lutheran My Friends!

I am amazed that I have to type this, but I still see many Greece games on issue challenge, even after receiving the start of this match on Monday night.

In fact my opponent alexrus has yet to accept my challenge.

I am leaving for the weekend but will be back late on Sunday, if I come back and find out that opponents have not accepted their matches, I will have to assume that you have bowed out of the tournament and the other player will be declared the winner of that match.

Please let me know if you have not started your match so I can try and send an email to your opponent with the remaining couple of hours left before I leave for the weekend.

I hope alexrus will join soon, but I may have to accept his unwillingness to face the goose. ;)

Blessings on your matches.

I can only speculate, but in central europe, we have the first warm and sunny days this spring. Perhaps some players focus on outdoor activities.

I am Happy to report that I think everyone has started their matches.

alexrus has joined the game but has failed to play his first round, I am unsure why as he has had no communication with me.

I hope everyone is enjoying the fun and turmoil that is Greece.

Let me know if you have not started as I still have gilgul waiting for a possible opponent
