First of all - a BIG THANKS for your excellent Napoleonic Mod. I am an experienced scenario designer having did the Historical Battles for the Lordz NTW1, Rome Total war and others. I would like your permission to design some scenarios for FOG2 using your Napoleonic Mod. If you would like to contact me - please Email at isdinco@hotmail.com.

Please Advise.

Thanks

Tom Sims
I give any and all permission, copy, alter, distribute, whatever.

I would love to see more historical scenarios.

This is great! I want to do some random map scenarios for myself as a single player. Do you do these in the usual way thru the editor?

Thanks!

just FYI - Grenadiers did not carry grenades during Napoleonic era... those were long gone as were found problematic... Grenadiers were instead, recruited from tallest and strongest recruits, therefore were especially effective in bayonet charges.. Tall men has an advantage of further reach (longer arms) when using bayonet which makes them more effective... Grenadiers charging with bayonets was something that made most infantry turn and run away...

Hi George:
To answer -yes. You of course have to have the Napoleonic Mod downloaded. Once you do - when you start the editor you can select the Napoleonic Mod assets etc.

Hi Everyone:

I will be developing some Historical Battle scenarios for James excellent Nap Mod. Please see below for the appropriate links:

** update log **
8/22/18 - Added Battle of Salamanca

PLEASE NOTE: The scenarios below have been corrected as of 7/31/2018 to include the Text1 and Text9 files which were initially missing. When extracting - place the .BSF and BAM files in the SCENARIOS sub folder of the Nap Mod and place the .TXT files in the NAPOLEONIC folder. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO DOWNLOAD A NEW COPY OF THE TEXTS WHEN ADDING A NEW SCENARIO.

You should then see the battle available when you access the Nap Mod. I assume that you have already downloaded the Nap Mod and installed it. If not refer to the appropriate thread above.

If you do not have a "decent" computer - you may experience "lag". Here are my specs:

AMD FX-6300
16 GBs of memory
Radeon 7800 2 GBs of memory
Microsoft Windows 7 (6.1) Home Premium Edition 64-bit Service Pack 1 (Build 7601)

Feel free to provide feedback.

Enjoy

Hope to try this mod soon. Just curious: what aspect of mod causes laggyness on older PCs? Animations?

Thanks so much for this mod James! And thanks to yankee for the scenarios as well.

Quick question - I'm new to the whole game and don't really understand modding. Is it possible to play custom games using this mod? (ie. no scenario, just skirmish between two armies?)

Hello Tom. What do i do wrong i wonder...(i put .BSF and BAM files in the SCENARIOS sub folder of the Nap Mod and placed the .TXT files in the NAPOLEONIC folder)
i still get this message:

Also can these scenarios be played MP? i think we go to the scenarios by "epic battles" button?

It is likely that the modded scripts need to be updated in order to work with the current version of the game.

Whether JamesManhattan is still around to make the necessary changes, I don't know. He does not seem to have posted recently. If anyone has his email address, it might be worth letting him know about this.
