Medium foot Javelinmen
Just a query. How is it that medium foot armed with Javelins have no shooting capability ?

That was V2. It is now 1 dice per front rank base.1 dice per 2 bases

I think what led to my confusion, was nothing is listed in the shooting capability column of the army lists, only light spear in the impact phase. So I am guessing only troop types titled javelinmen are treated as such, and not other troops who use a lt spear in the impact phase ?

There are now more listed with javelin in the shooting column, previously only the American armies had them, some cavalry also get javelins now

Yes - javelins are missile / shooting weapons - light spears are impact weapons
