Armies of the Americas
Not sure if this is in the correct forum.
Since this particular continent has taken a severe reduction in the number of armies available in the new armies list books, I was wondering how many people here in the UK actually have American armies? At MAWS there used to be 3, but now only two since a member moved elsewhere.
I can appreciate that they are, in comparison to armies from the rest of the world of similar era's, pretty rubbish. However, against armies of similar troop types, they can be quite fun to use and could be successful.
So, how many of you play for fun rather than just to win, and have American armies.

Re: Armies of the Americas
I have Aztec and an as yet unpainted Iroquois. And could use them to build others that looked reasonably acceptable, Mayan, Mound Builder, etc.

Re: Armies of the Americas
I have Mochica/Chimu, alas not in the new army books (except as allies). Suppose I should get an Aztec army at some point as all those impact foot look interesting, but there's a long queue for new armies at the moment.
I am rarely capable of winning, so play for fun instead!

Re: Armies of the Americas
I have Aztecs who have also morphed into Mayans. Have done reasonably well with them but as per history they can't cope with cavalry / knights.
Just awaiting the R&R to see how embarrassed they are going to be at Warfare but they were a labour of love and deserve to get out of the box now and again.

Unpainted Iroqouis! I must admit I recently ordered a slack handful more from Khurasan so will eventually have an embarassingly large bunch of woodlanders. Enough for two armies.
Has no-one else considered Americans?

David Fairhurst has used Inca and Steve Brown has used Mayans. I'm sure Tupi used to be seen as well.
