This update fixes a bug in v1.4 affecting the display of MP game challenges, which made them display the wrong army lists. This may or may not have affected anything else, but to be on the safe side we have corrected the bug in all three modules.

Existing games started with v1.4 probably won't work correctly with v1.5.

- Masterplan: fixed most cases of cavalry wings bumping into their infantry centre when following them.


HOW TO ENABLE AND USE AS GLOBAL MOD
Ingame, click on the icon on the bottom left of the main screen to go the "Global Mods" screen, select "Rise Of AI 2.2 Global" then click "Accept". To disable, select "No Mod Set" or any other global mod you might have installed.
If enabled correctly it will say "Using mod: Rise Of AI v2.1 Global" on the main screen.
While enabled, all battles you play (custom, campaign battles, epic battles, quick battles...) will use Rise Of AI for the AI opponent.
Epic Battles and some other user contents might cause some problems, see below in the compatibility section.
You don't need to keep or use the previous versions of Rise Of AI (campaign and custom battles). You can delete them.


COMPATIBILITY
* DLCs
Fully compatible with Immortal Fire, Legions Triumphant, Age Of Belisarius and Rise Of Persia DLCs.

* User content
Compatible with all campaigns and custom battles content that do not modify the same files as this mod. This means it should be compatible with the vast majority of them.

* Epic Battles
I advise not to enable Rise Of AI when playing Epic Battles.
Some Epic Battles have scripted strategies for the AI or exotic deployments that will overrule, conflict with or confuse Rise Of AI.

* Multiplayer
Do not enable Rise Of AI while playing multiplayer. It may cause bugs and crashes.


KNOWN ISSUES
- Sometimes when the AI turns a unit the camera will not move to focus on the unit.
This happens when the AI wants to tidy up a formation and change its facing. It will turn several units of the same formation one by one, but the camera won't move to show you that. This might be a bit annoying for players that play zoomed in but its no big issue.

Epic Battles

This has been updated to remove a crash bug when the Pyrrhic elephants arrive.

(This bug was inadvertently caused by a previous change to the engine. It only affects scenarios where reinforcements have been added in the Editor and not used the script-fragment method to apply them. Paul has changed the Heraklea scenario so that it no longer uses this method of creating reinforcements. None of Paul's other scenarios use this method, nor do any of the vanilla scenarios, but it might affect some of the other user created scenarios, although we don't know which. It will be fixed in the next update).

Paul has also taken the opportunity to fix a few other minor niggles with the scenario.

- adds several Thracian lists: Triballi (two versions), Getic (three versions), Roman, Gallic, Hellenistic
- adds allied troops to lists that they can't otherwise access in a custom battle game
- slightly upgrades some mercenary troops or gives an upgraded mercenary type to some armies
- allows an alternative interpretation of very good light javelin horse as protected cavalry
- allows two alternative interpretations of Thracian light horse as either being superior or having swords = either way they would make you want to hire them as mercenaries
- allows Numidian light horse to be superior

So for instance, none of the current lists allow the Thracians to use mercenary hoplites but with this mod you can try them out in a skirmish battle (not a campaign, I have to update my campaigns to use the new units though)

These have now been updated to cover armies from 500 BC to 500 AD.

To delete the old versions from your system: If the in-game DELETE button does not do it, you can do it manually.

Look in:

Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/CAMPAIGNS

for the SP Custom Battles and Campaign modules.

Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/MULTIPLAYER

for the MP Custom Battles module.

This update does not add new lists, but brings it in line with v1.5.12 of FOG2 by adjusting the points costs etc.

NOTE: The new versions are not compatible with MP games using the old versions. You need to finish those before deleting the old version. You can have both versions on your system at the same time without any problems. Obviously, new games should be started with v1.7

Also note that there is currently an issue with the MP lobby not showing the correct allies for Silk Road games. The actual game will use the allies set up in the challenge, but the lobby tooltip shows the wrong list. We are working on a fix for this.
