I think I'll be able to create 2 skins (for Republicans and for Franco & axis) especially for your Mod if you want

This question is directed to me or to LNDavoust?
I use very simple graphics programs, eg Paint (windows)

2. Norway conquest April 1940

Post by kondi754 »

Painting of the vehicles from Panzer Abteilung z.b.V 40 (Pz IA and IIC tanks), used in Norway 1940.
Screenshot below shows the battle of Kvam, 25/26 April 1940, where British 1st battalion Kings Own Yorkshire Light Inf stopped for two days KG "Pellanghar" (196th Inf Div units supported by several tanks from PzAbt 40). British infantry had five French 25mm Hotchkiss AT guns, while on the German side Pz II tanks presented splendidly and were praised for their mobility

There was also 1 heavy tank Nb.Fz. (Neubaufahrzeuge) in the battle of Kvam, which is not in OoB
Only three prototypes were produced and all were only used during fights in Norway

This thread is very interesting.
I'm thinking about creating a Norwegian small-scale campaign and these local skins would come in handy.

Thanks Erik, a better map of Norway would be welcome for sure, because the one created by devs for the vanilla campaign isn't very accurate.
The city of Kvam lies on the river, some of the British defensive positions were placed on an island located in the riverbed. On the vanilla map in the area north of Lillehammer (there is only Otta city on the map, but no Kvam) there are no rivers :!:

If you plan to create the Nb.Fz model for your campaign, this tank have identical gray brown camouflage such as Pz IIC on the board above.
What you see in the image above your post is the "factory" appearance of the prototype
Nb.Fz B tanks didn't belong to Pz Abt 40, were an independent platoon of prototype heavy tanks, which supported the Wehrmacht on designated sections of the front (sometimes it was only 1 tank, just like at Kvam)
See the picture below (it's from Osprey)

Thanks, maybe I will use it in my future projects
Below I attached slightly improved altenative PzAbt 40 camouflage.
I tried to make it more like the tanks in the picture this time. Let everyone will choose the one which prefer.

3. Fall Gelb_breakthrough at Sedan May 1940

Post by kondi754 »

German camo based on 1st PzDiv original camouflage from French campaign 1940
There is the first day of Sedan's battle on the screenshots below, 13 May 1940, when Sturm-Pioneer's units crossed the Meuse river and gained a bridgehead allowing Guderian's panzercorps to start his raid to English channel. The pioneers were part of the 1st (motorized) infantry regiment belonging to the 1st Panzer Div.
The regiment was commanded by Colonel Hermann Balck (nomen omen  )
1st, 2nd and 10th Panzer Divisions were parts of the XIXth Panzer Corps commanded by General Heinz Guderian during the French campaign in 1940

I put new camouflages in advance earlier due to the upcoming Christmas.
There will be second camo for France 1940 later today.

4. Fall Gelb_battle of Hannut May 1940

Post by kondi754 »

This camo was created in accordance with the painting of 3th and 4th PzDivs vehicles during this period - on the standard camouflage brown spots were applied
The 3rd and 4th panzer divisions together were the strength of the XVIth Armeekorps (commander general Erich Hoepner), which fought on May 12-14, 1940 at the Battle of Hannut in Belgium.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Hannut
It was the largest tank battle of the initial period of 2nd World War until Hitler's attack on the USSR

Perhaps the colors of the vehicles of both fighting armies are similar, but it's due to the incorrect camouflage of French units, which should look like in the picture below. :!:

There are many many more, most of them never posting or even registering on the forum. Just don't get discouraged, continue with your thread and stop fishing for compliments
I've reorganized my skin collection yesterday, some of them may be even yours.
