BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [ALLIES] [Turn 86] - Allies Victory!
This topic is devoted to a multiplayer play-test in the mod Battlefield Europe v1.94
Axis side - McGuba
Allies side - Intenso
The topic is dedicated to the paired game for the Axis side here.
In general, I did not plan to do AAR.
But during the game I had about 1500 technical screenshots of the game.
And I decided to share and make AAR so that all this was not lost and that besides me maybe someone else would enjoy.
This is quite a unique content, Great strategy and Multiplayer together.
The title is "Strategy Guide" and the main reason this is to show what can be found in the BE multiplayer version of mod.
And how deep and interesting it can be.
Also show various strategies, methods of war, tactics, formations of units, some features of mod
and of course human errors and more errors at all levels
I would also be happy if this topic motivated your discussion, questions, comments.
And also maybe later you will be able to find new or improved strategies seen here and share with us your findings.
I write from one side, but since this is a multiplayer game, I would like it to be a topic for both sides.
I hope McGuba will find time to post his comments and views on his side. I will welcome this.
Otherwise, it would be limited to only one angle of view and would not be complete. Somewhat one-sided.
As for the screenshots, I mostly took screenshots on a small scale.
That on one screen all theater of operations was located. For example, in Russia everything place into 3 screenshots (North, Center and South).
But there were exceptions. When more detailed screenshots were required.
I will try to process them (trim) so that they look better.
I also had no AAR experience before (but I was inspired by excellent PeteMitchell AARs) and also English is not my native language, so sorry for possible mistakes
A warning.
Attention!! This AAR contains spoilers.
Therefore, if you do not want to know some details, consider whether you need to move on or close this page
Although perhaps this is not critical, because playing multiplayer is usually the mod is already passed in a single version(I think this is even a recommendation for playing multiplayer).
This is also test version v1.94 and maybe many things will be changed in the next version.
Therefore, do not try to directly repeat everything that you see here
A few more points.
At the time of the beginning of this topic, the game is still going.
And for the time being, I don’t know how much I can post some sensitive screenshots and descriptions (many aspects may still be a military secrets ).
Maybe later I will pause if the need arises.
Although many things written here may reveal my side "in details",
I think that after D-day when there will be a final run, it will not matter much.
I hope someone it will be interesting.
Enjoy!

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [ALLIES][Turn 1]
Turn 1
22 June 1941
Weather: Clear and Dry.
Note:
First, in my Allies game, the screenshots were made before the move for the Allies,
and in my Axis game screenshots were made at the end of the Axis turn.
It was necessary to make a clean comparison between two games.
Then it lost its meaning as the games became very different.
And screenshots for the Allies were also made at the end of the turn (but I don’t remember when it happened, maybe after 20-30 turn).
Strategic map
Not many of our troops are free to operate.
Command lost control with most units.
And they are frozen. They have no fuel. Defrost time is not known exactly.
North
Finnish troops crossed the border on all fronts.
Started attack Vyborg.
Centre
The hordes of the Germans are moving through our territory.
We can have a very limited impact on that.
Since most of our command centers lost control of the troops.
Brest in the hands of the enemy.

South.
Our airfields are under attack.
And our mechanized corps are experiencing big supply problems.
Africa.
In Africa, our attack fell into a trap.
It looks like the enemy is preparing to begin the siege of Tobruk.
Loss statistics at the begin of the first turn.

The Germans captured Riga.
They came to Minsk and completed the encirclement of the Belostok group of troops.
Our aircraft received the order to carry out attacks in 3 hexes from the border. Over 4 turns.
And each turn there must be 2 fighters and 1 strategic bomber.
If this order is not executed, we will lose all prestige per turn.
South.
Germans almost destroyed our mechanized corps. Only the strong KV-2 remained.
A report from Africa was not received.

Turn 3
22 July 1941.
Weather: Clear and Dry.
Strategic map
North
The Finns began to advance to Petrazavodsk.
Enemy recon has already captured the airfield at Tallinn.
And our submarine was hit by German destroyers at the entrance to the Gulf of Finland.

South.
The Germans captured Zhytomyr.
We have no free troops to oppose.
Odessa is our most fortified zone.
Africa.
Our offensive at Tobruk ended in disaster.
The Axis are laying siege to Tobruk. And advance recon units to Merce Matruh.
We decided to act on enemy communications north of Crete, but we spotted a light Italy cruiser.

Oh wow, you doing the second one of the paired game as well, this is really great!
Not sure I fully understand this one, is this a new rule/requirement for the Allies?

This is to motivate the player to air battles, and not to lead all aviation to the rear. What is more consistent with the historical line.PeteMitchell_2 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 12:54 pm Not sure I fully understand this one, is this a new rule/requirement for the Allies?
I made a mistake there was within a radius of 3 hexes.
Therefore, I quote the full text of the order

Centre
Gomel enemy inflicted air strike.
The Germans approached Smolensk.
South
Following the orders of the Supreme, our aircraft patrols over the Danube in search of worthy targets.
In Odessa, the Wehrmacht observed over heavy artillery.
In the Kremenchuk area, the Germans encounter our armored boat.
But we did not have time to cover them with fighters, and the Germans called Stuka.
A group of troops in the area of Kiev cannot move, the Supreme does not give permission for its use.
Now we can do very little to protect our homeland.
Africa
Our light forces chased the submarine north of Crete and now we are in a difficult situation.
Surrounded on all sides. Enemy ships more than we expected.
At Tobruk, the Germans established a tight blockade.

South
Germans surrounded Kiev from the West.
They captured Kremenchug and crossed over to the other side of the Dnieper.
No doubt their goal is to surround our Kiev group of troops.
In the Iasi area, it seems we are faced with the use of opponents of the new tactics.
Surrounded our aircraft using 8 of their aircraft(!)
3 more are not visible in the screenshot.
But when our plane tried to fly out of a half ring, it collided with a full encirclement.
Africa
We tried to take the fleet east, but it seems all the navy forces destroyed.
On Crete, the Greek partisans intensified.
In Tobruk, the enemy conducts a rearrangement and shelling of our fortifications.
Atlantica
In the Atlantic German submarines intensified.

I hope you don't mind all my questions but this is very exciting, so here is another one that just crossed my mind: do the Allies have any transports yet (or still nothing for game balance reasons), i.e. air, rail, naval transports? Thanks!Intenso82 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 11:25 am In the Iasi area, it seems we are faced with the use of opponents of the new tactics.

I can't wait to see where they will stand (both geographically but also in terms of order of battle/casualties) by around turn 40 (i.e. at the beginning of 1943)...

Yes, the Allies have two trains only.PeteMitchell_2 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 2:42 pm : do the Allies have any transports yet (or still nothing for game balance reasons), i.e. air, rail, naval transports? Thanks!
But until 21 turns they are blocked in Siberia.
Just two, too little in my opinion.
But trains can also affect the delivery of reinforcements to the frontline and can break down the historical availability of new weapons.
Yes, McGuba is a very good player, especially in the war at sea and in the air.
It is very interesting to play with him.
And also the feature of the mod is that the situation can change quickly or not quickly
I also wonder what the result will end the game. And where will the sides be geographically on the last turnPeteMitchell_2 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 3:12 pm I can't wait to see where they will stand (both geographically but also in terms of order of battle/casualties) by around turn 40 (i.e. at the beginning of 1943)...
