MP versions of Edward77's Malplaquet and Ramillies scenarios, converted by Chronos09:

Chronos writes:
I like Edward77's scenarios for P&S very much, especially for wars of 18th century. Malplaquet and Ramillies are my most favourite. I converted them from a single mode to multiplayer one with some modifying the balance. I played these MP versions of Malplaquet and Ramillies with ahuyton, LFDLM, Airzerg and Pixel. They also liked these scenarios. According to the results of these games I modified the balance more correctly.

MP Ramillies:
In comparison with the singleplayer original I made all French units moveable and removed the flags from the map. The expierence of the French units (that were Average) I raised to Above Average. The expierence of Marlborough's 5 foot and 3 dragoon units (that were Superior) I lowered to Above Average. This was done to align the balance of a MP version of the scenario.

MP Malplaquet:
In comparison with the singleplayer original I made 4 French units moveable (Boirbonnais' and Bouzancois' Brigades). The expierence of Marlborough's 2nd/Bulow's Brigade (that was Average) I raised to Superior and Wortemberg's Brigade (that also was Average) I raised to Above Average. I introduced a limit on the number of turns too.

Excellent - great to see this battle covered.

Thanks Odenathus.

Any chance to see the same battle from the Russian side?

Can do, but you understand that it won't be exactly the same units as when the German is the player-controlled side? Because humans are (nearly) always better than the AI it would mean making the Germans stronger somehow - numbers, morale, etc - otherwise they will move robotically forward onto the ice to be destroyed, which is no challenge. But it is certainly possible.

Understood - that makes sense.

It's just that the idea of having fun with such a scenario while watching totally over-the-top Soviet era propaganda films is quite appealing ;)

One other thought:

Perhaps it could be possible to keep the Teutonic forces the same but create a couple of variant scenarios where (instead of the central wedge) the Germans struck strongly either against the horse archers (or more challenging) the other flank against the elite Russian troops and then pushed across towards the center which was held by the weak militia ?

I would suspect that such a tactic would be make the battle a bit more of a challenge for the Rus ?

Seven Years War
Kolin 1757 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Kol%C3%ADn)

Unfortunately, this is only available for Pike and Shot:Campaigns because it contains modded scripts that access files that do not exist in Pike and Shot

Cronos09 writes:
I converted Kolin scenario by Edward77 from SP to MP with some modifying of the balance.
My changes:
1) I added an introducing description for each side, new sideicons, new unit icons and a new Prussian flag.
2) I also added two VP on the hills, which the Austrians had to protect from the Prussians.
3) I put the Strength multiplier 50%.
4) The Austrian reinforcement which was supposed to appear on the 5th turn, will be appear on turn 2
4) I increased the shooting fire rating for the Prussian muskets by ~ 4-5%%
5) I added infantry squares and bombs/grenades for grenadier units.
6) I add all Cuirassier units some armour that reduced their losses at a long distance from the musket fire.
