stockwellpete wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2020 8:16 pm So the issue is that some players have added the TT Mod to their main build. It needs to go in . . . My Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/MULTIPLAYER

Just a simple "drag and drop" exercise. :D
Thanks Pete, I am back at my PC now, and can confirm that is the correct destination.

Just for future reference, experience has shown that all TT Mod problems like this are due to two possible causes:

1) The player has pasted the TT mod into the wrong folder, usually the main build.

or

2) The download has been corrupted. Unfortunately, with a file of this size that seems to happen occasionally. So if the player is certain he has the mod in his My Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/MULTIPLAYER folder and is still experiencing problems, he should delete it and download the mod again.

cheers

Hi Pete, guess I've missed the start of this league. Didn't know about it till I saw Richard Yorke's blog this evening.
I'm assuming I need to register with yourself for League D?

Can you let me know if I need do anything more for next time please?

Hello Stew101,

I will add you to the invitation list for Season 8, which starts on June 1st. And I will also add you to the invitation list for the annual knock-out tournament that will open on April 1st. If you want me to put you down as a reserve for Season 7 I can do, but I cannot promise that a place will come available this season. Sometimes we do get players dropping out early on in the tournament. I could put you as second reserve in Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages if you have the appropriate DLC's (Legions Triumphant and Age of Belisarius for LA and those two DLC's plus Wolves at the Gate for EMA).

I've downloaded both the multiplayer and battles mod and put them in the correct folder as described so unless I have a corrupted download guessing the issue is with my opponent. I only had multiplayer installed before but I think the instructions said we needed battles for the tournament so installed that as well. IMC if you are reading can you confirm you have your mods in the correct folder. I can also see on the challenge server some people seem to have different versions installed. Thanks Adam

You don't need the SP versions of the TT Mod, but if you have installed them in their correct folders they will have no effect on your MP games anyway.

All 3 versions of the TT Mod have exactly the same content. Unfortunately, with the way the FOG2 mod system works we need a different mod folder for each of the three different modes of play; MP, SP battles and SP campaigns.

What exactly is the problem you are experiencing?

cheers

It sounds like Ian has put the TT Mod in the main build and therefore he needs to "drag and drop" it into the Multiplayer folder.

Yes, Pete is correct. If you are sure you have the TT_Mod_MPV1.5.18 folder in your My Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/MULTIPLAYER folder, and your opponent sees the challenge as greyed out, then your opponent must have the TT_Mod_MPV1.5.18 folder in an incorrect location. He needs to place it in his My Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/MULTIPLAYER folder, then all should be fine.
